thank you
It involves the extremely complex makeup effects used in the critically acclaimed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2
...The extremely complex makeup effects that used extensive cgi? Who knows, that could have been a consideration.
Award Snub had its examples removed because it was a bunch of whiny contentious flamebait. I don't want them put back, not even as an image.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.If you could think of a good In-Universe example, then maybe?
Moon◊This. Very much this.
No examples here, please. This is what I would think of here, assuming that the forum doesn't break the link.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat works.
I'd rather have one without the horrible blue background.

And maybe a caption along the lines of "No Oscar for you!"

I'm voting no pic.
Yeah. Don't really think the suggestion adds anything.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Don't really think the suggestion adds anything.
You mean, like any other image?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhat? Most images add to the page. This one seems to me to just be very boring, quite obvious, rather plain, and somewhat tacky.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. All things that I can apply to many other page images. Not really convincing, mate.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFair enough; I disagree, but don't feel strongly either way with this image.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I don't feel that it adds anything, either. I'd much rather see a grab of a newspaper/magazine headline or online column title than the crossed-out Oscar.
It doesn't really say anything on its own.
Check out my fanfiction!Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
There is currently no image on the page, and with the Oscars coming up I was reminded of a funny image I saw last year about one of the most ridiculous snubs at that Oscars. It involves the extremely complex makeup effects used in the critically acclaimed Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2 lose to the extremely subtle (practically non-existent) effects used in the critically hated (and historically inaccurate) Thatcher “biopic” The Iron Lady.
Specifically it shows a picture Ralph Fiennes next to one of him as Lord Voldemort and then one of an Oscar crossed out. Below that is picture of Meryl Streep next to one of her as Thatcher and then one of an Oscar.
This might also be a good picture for the Sci Fi Ghetto trope page.

p.s. I am not a big Harry Potter fan, but I do think that Iron Lady winning that award was rubbish.
