OH no no no no no. YOU said that TRETTON said that PS 4 GAMES would, and I quote:

cost from 99 cents to $60.

Not "Minis" not "Apps", GAEMS.

THAT makes it a promise SONY.

Also I joke.

Hey, someone out there will make the 99c games. Sony doesn't have to foot that bill to reap the profits.

No used games? That's strike two Sony. I am seriously not sure about whether or not I'll buy this thing.

Sony has nothing to do with the used games. It is completely in the developer's hands if their used games will be playable.

...

Yeah, can't keep a strait face on that one. Even if true, that does not stop Sony from pressuring the developers to chose a certain option.

It's pretty much that it's gonna be EA & Activision that will do the block used games.

[down] That too your right.

[up] ...I don't know if you remember, but Ubi Soft attempted to make people connect to the internet at all times to play single player. I think they're probably going to go that way too.

Frankly I just gave up any chance of buying it when they made it the publisher's decision to block used games. They know damn WELL that most of them want to turn a profit.

Except that blocking used games will probably lose them money in the long run. The always-on internet connection used by Ubisoft certainly did.

[up] Walt Disney was fairly smart. Before he died. Did a good job. Things went downhill afterwards.

...That's it really.

Sam Walton was a pretty smart executive too. His extended family on the other hand, are greedy socoiopaths.

Bill Gates. The head of a japanese airline company who took a paycut more than his employees did. Nintendo.

Those are all I can think of off the top of my head. I can also name a lot of stupid ones, such as head of marketing of Sony Europe, and A certain "Superior" Ninja. ¬_¬

My interest in the PS 4 is directly linked to my interest if Infamous: Second Son. So far I am interest, but cautious.

I don't know who said it — John Teti — but David Cage dismissing early cinema while the Great Train Robbery played behind him was remarkably stupid and hubristic thing to do. I'm kind of glad I missed that part of the presentation.

In other, happier news, Panta Rhei is a terrible, terrible joke to name a game engine after. It means "everything flows."

To me, PS 4 will be as doomed as PS 3 if the company is still uptight about PSN, game DRM-ing and stuff. There's just not much market-wide appeal to these two consoles.

Same as usual.... Wing it.

That's probably going to be not as important as the costs, IMO.the costs to develop a ps3 game are already stupidly expensive, and making the system even more powerful is not going to help. Additionally, the cost to make the system is what rely hurt Sony last time around.even priced at 600 USD, they still lost a lot of money with every system they made. However, they gave made a point to say that the system will be using more cheap production methods, and that the games will be easier to develop because they ditched the unorthodox system structure.

So supposedly, Killzone 4 will be open world and the city is fully explorable. Killzone looks much more appealing to me now, but I'm super cautious about this. This seems like something a little too good to be true, especially if it'll come out at any point around launch.

I don't trust it. Many games have said they'd be like that, but either come out buggy as fuck or wind up cutting back to highly linear experiences.
