It looks interesting, I'll whip up a sign-up sometime in the next days.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Likewise. Interested in the Pokemon RP too. :3
I'm interested! I have a question though, will the rule where you can only have one Pokemon out a time apply to this?
No, it does not (Double battles exist in the main series after all), but just remember that having both pokémon out if they don't need to be is going to expose them to unnecessary harm.
It's great to see there's some interest here and I'm not just going completely bonkers! Keep it coming guys!

UhI like this idea! Here goes:
Name: Alma Wilson (I'm assuming self-inserts, or something close to them, are OK.)
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance: (Attempting an honest description of myself.) Ash blonde hair (sometimes plaited, but usually loose), brown eyes. Average height. Slightly overweight, but healthy and strong, with some underlying muscle mass—like someone who once maintained an active lifestyle, but has since become sedentary. Clothing is always plain, comfortable and functional: A t-shirt or tank, yoga pants (not jeans, because I find them uncomfortable) and trainers.
Bio: Alma, like most people, started her Pokemon journey when she was 10 years old. Her starter Pokemon was a Snivy named Tiamat. She'd always been a shy child, and saw her Pokemon journey as a means of escaping the difficulties of living with other people. Because of this, Alma has a stronger bond with her Pokemon than most trainers. They have enabled her to live a mostly solitary life, venturing into human society only when basic needs demand it.
History: Alma was renowned for her skill as a Pokemon trainer, but usually declined to participate in competitions and social events with other trainers, preferring one to one battles on the road. Those who met her on the road described a lonesome individual with a strange sense of humour and a close connection to her Pokemon team, including a sad little Magikarp she carried around with her in a fishbowl whereever she went. She challenged and defeated the Elite Four once for the sake of being able to say she'd done it, but refused to take up the position of Pokemon champion and instead went on her way.
When she heard of a new, mysterious region shrouded in darkness being opened to visitors, barely touched by human civilization, she jumped at the chance to leave behind the hyperactive, highly social, networked world of Pokemon. She settled down in a little unit or cabin outside Daybreak City, living closely with her Pokemon team—and her Magikarp in his fishbowl on the mantelpiece. That was until wild Pokemon overran Daybreak City...
Pokémon:
Species: Serperior
Name: Tiamat
Gender: Female
Bio: Tiamat was Alma's starter, chosen more in defiance of the norm than an actual preference for Grass types. Nevertheless, the two became fast friends and learned to depend on each other for just about everything. Tia is Alma's most powerful Pokemon and is not known to lose a fight—the sight of her great green coils unwinding in battle has put the fear of Arceus into the toughest Pokemon. Tia has been absent since the Daybreak City incident, sent from Alma's cabin on an errand. Alma is very worried. (Note: I sent Tia away prior to the beginning of the RP in order to keep to the "two Pokemon" rule. Will it still be necessary to kill one of them if/when she comes back?)
Ability: Contrary
Known Moves: Leaf Storm, Aerial Ace, Cut, Substitute
Species: Liepard
Name: Julia
Gender: Female
Bio: Alma rescued Julia as a Purrloin from a Team Rocket thug she defeated in battle. Julia was slow to trust Alma initially, but as time wore on, she and her trainer grew close. Today, there is no one else Julia would lay down her life for, and though humans and Pokemon can't understand each other's languages, the bond between Julia and her trainer is implicit in the looks they share with one another. Julia saved Alma's life during the Daybreak City incident and the two have been on guard at her cabin ever since, hiding and/or fighting off the hordes of wild Pokemon and waiting for Tiamat to return.
Ability: Limber
Known Moves: Hone Claws, Night Slash, Shadow Ball, Thunder Wave
Species: Magikarp
Name: Mike
Gender: Male
Bio: Mike was Alma's obligatory catch, the one Magikarp that every trainer has to catch to fill the spot in their Pokedex. Unlike other trainers, however, Alma took a liking to the little guy, in spite of his unusual small size—small enough to be carried around in a fishbowl. She even refused to evolve him. Mike doesn't battle. He only waits in his fishbowl while Alma's other, more powerful Pokemon do battle for her. But Mike isn't to be underestimated...
Ability: Swift Swim
Known Moves: Splash, Tackle, Flail... and Hydro Pump. (Does it count if the move was given out at one of those special Pokemon matinees in Japan?)
Alma has 3 other Pokemon that were left behind when she moved to Lunea, which she hoped to recover when PC technology caught on in the region. They are: A Galvantula (Charlotte), a Mismagius (Maggie) and a Braviary (Bravo).

You need an adult.mrminun: Everything looks good to me, Ben is accepted. As a side-note, no there is no problem with him being a Pokémon Professor, but he's not going to be as big of a deal (yet) as the bigshots that have appeared in the games so far. I might, now it's relevant put some limitations on Snow Warning (and by extension Sand Stream, Drizzle and Drought) - mainly, if the pokémon goes away so does the weather. Secondarily, there must be snow available to whip up a hailstorm and sand for a sandstorm. (And Drought always fails.)
Alma: No, there is no problem with self-inserts - my character is basically a self-insert (That has taken more than a few brave pills. Prescription strength ones.). As for the other parts, no I have no problem with Event moves (and whilst we're here, Dream World moves and Abilities are also kosher) and we might be able to meet up with Tia non-fatally depending on, basically, the level to which Mike is able to fight. With only Hydro Pump for a move, take that as a definite "We'll see...". Either way er, you, are accepted.

The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Super excited for this. I've already gotten started on a first chapter. How many signups are you looking at before starting the RP?

You need an adult.Would it be okay if I used a slightly altered version of the character I made for that Pokemon RP of yours that didn't work out from a while back?
(◕ ヮ ◕)ノNote to everyone, I forgot one field (Bag) out of the signup. Sorry for the mistake, but can all players please add this field?
Sanojutsu: Character's all good, Scott is accepted.
Alma: Well truth betold, I was already expecting about half of the interest already here as a maximum! I'm going to leave it to Sunday until launch, I like to leave these things at least a full week.
Re Dead: There shouldn't be a problem at all, I mean only big difference is that they would likely be a Trainer themselves. (Long time no see by the way!)
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.ok... Not sure how a professor's bag would be, so I'll try this. I'm editing the sign up sheet now.
UhIt seems nobody else is interested...
UhI'll post my sign up sheet tomorrow~!
I'll keep my bag empty, if that's OK. The reason for my main Pokemon's absence at the start is because I sent her to the Pokemart to buy more stuff.

You need an adult.Yeah, sure thing Alm.
The RP and Discussion thread are up. Sorry it wasn't Sunday like I promised, I had a very stressful weekend/Monday.

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Hmm... This seems interesting...
- Name: Edward "Tracker" Abott
- Age: 34
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: Minus the axe.◊
- Bag: Potions (x2), Revive (x1), Flashlight (x1), Candles (x2), Box of Matches (x1), Replacement Batteries (x2), Notebook (x1), Pen (x2), Samson's Pokeball, Argus's Pokeball
- Bio: Edward Abott presents himself as calm under pressure. Coming into Lunea, he was fully aware of the attacks and viewed them as a very real threat.
- History: Edward "Tracker" Abott is an ex-Ranger turned Private Eye. He had learned much from working as a Ranger including how corrupt people with power can be. When he tried to report the corruption, he was dishonourably discharged and found himself out on his own. While he had a reputation for being kicked out of the Rangers, he had a far more pronounced one: Finding people. He had been one of the most successful Rangers in the Anti-Poaching unit and he was credited with many arrests of poachers who evaded capture from many other Rangers. As a result, his time as a private investigator had not been without work. His latest task was finding out what happened to a wealthy businessman who had taken up residence in Lunea. However, hearing rumours about the attack, Edward found himself fearing the worst.
- Pokemon:
- Samson the Banette
- Gender: Male
- Bio: Samson was Edward's partner during his time with the Rangers. After evolving two years ago, the two have grown even closer and developed a sign language of sorts that allows them to communicate back and forth in a very basic manner*. Samson shares Edward's quiet intellect and drive.
- Level: 39
- Ability: Insomnia
- Known Moves:
- Faint Attack
- Shadow Sneak
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off
- Argus the Mightyena
- Gender: Female
- Bio: Argus was given to Edward by a client after he found the man's prized Arcanine. Argus was wary of humans due to her last master's treatment but has begun to warm up to Edward. She is far more headstrong and quick to judge than Samson or Edward but her tracking ability makes her an incredibly valuable asset to the trio. By communicating her findings to Samson and Samson passing on the basic idea onto Edward, the ex-Ranger has been able to track down anything with far greater speed and accuracy. However, Argus has a very hard time holding her own in a battle, due to having an old wound on her left hind leg that slows her down. As such, when in a battle, she has to rely on her ability to demoralize the enemy to help her win.
- Level: 26
- Ability: Intimidate
- Known Moves:
- Roar
- Odor Sleuth
- Rock Smash
- Crunch
- Other Known Pokemon: None, as Edward still holds onto some of the more idealistic views of the Rangers and would rather co-operate with Pokemon than try and catch them to make them his own.
- Samson the Banette
Can this still be revived? if so i'd like to join

WEEWOOWEEWOO
Necromancer alert!
UhIs that a good or bad thing Koro-sensei?
Every Bodies going to die eventually... I’m just speeding up the process. Finally Back!!!!Usually, games that have been death for half a year don't tend to get resurrected.
Still, you may PM Plumbum to see if he's still interested in the concept.
Until then however, I shall be locking this game.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.
Long ago, there existed another region. Beyond Unova, Kanto, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto. It was known then as Lunea, so named due to the permanent darkness that envelops the land. Lunea was by far the most beautiful region – the natural flora and fauna was bountiful and the pokémon species within were diverse, but incredibly hostile. Humanity was eventually forced out of Lunea. The pokémon attacks became both too frequent and too forceful for humanity to remain. Lunea was forgotten. It slipped away, even to the annals of history.
Three thousand years after Lunea was first abandoned, it has been rediscovered. Humanity with it's strange sense of ingenuity has begun colonising the land again. With humanity's access to more powerful pokémon to call allies, they have slowly been making an advance into the ever-dark lands, and wave after wave of hostile wild pokémon have been retreating – seemingly also fearful the lights humanity brings with them. It seems Lunea may eventually be a safe home after all.
Of course, one cannot forget humanity's penchant for getting things horribly, horribly wrong.
The capital of Lunea, Daybreak City was hit first. Wild pokémon, in numbers never seen before and with terrifying levels of organisation overwhelmed the entire city in a matter of hours. After the first day, approximately half of the inhabitants of Daybreak City were dead. Then the lights went out. The next day from a population of hundreds of thousands, only a few hundred humans and their loyal pokémon remain alive within the city.
Don't forget your flashlight.
So yeah, I'm making another RP. I thought one day, after seeing someone else on this site attempt a survival horror pokémon RP – “You know, that's actually not a bad idea at all.” and almost immediately began making my own when I found it had died before I got there. As one may have guessed, the tone of the RP is “Pretty fucking dark.” Things die, lots. Although it is worth mentioning that this is more “Atmospheric survival horror that makes you feel vulnerable” rather than “Action RP that ate some marinara sauce too quickly”. So, yeah. Does anyone feel like making this a reality? Characters are going to be either residents of or visitors to Daybreak City, who were caught in there by the pokémon attack. Furthermore, your pokémon are treated as characters and can have dialogues with each other but the basic rule still stands – pokémon can understand each other and humans, but humans cannot understand pokémon.
One last thing, regarding inventories - no more instant healing. Potions only helped to revitalise pokémon in battles because they were pulling punches, trying not to actually seriously hurt each other. Now pokémon are actually trying to kill each other, the medicines are just that - medicines. They can help a wound heal over time, but they won't get something with a cut down it's leg back up and fighting. Revives can help things that are unconscious come around, but nothing that's dead. Recovery moves, such as Recover or Wish only 'pep up' mons who are running out of energy in a protracted fight.
A sheet you ask? What you ask, the Plum provides!
The following fields are required for each pokémon your character owns.
