Strangely enough, I liked the ep with Ryu's granny.

Or more to the point, I liked how she saved the day by blocking Maria's attack with a mirror, forcing her to release all the other women to save herself.

I find the fact that that little old lady could only hobble, and still moved fast enough to block the attack to be the greatest Crowning Moment Of Awesome in all Sentai.....

Considering I've only watched a handful of Sentai that is.

I admit, that was pretty cool. Still wasn't enough to save the episode for me, unfortunately.

So I just started watching Ep 10 of Jetman and—

"I AM RAMEN, GOD OF CUP-NOODLES!"

...

{Proceeds to check drink, followed by sanity.}

For those who haven't watched the show, basically, a giant sentient cup of ramen shows out of nowhere and tries to get a nerdy cup-noodle fanatic to make the 'ultimate cup-noodle' with him. He's basically Frybo's Japanese cousin. This show could get kind of weird before, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Well, being dark doesn't mean it can't be weird.

Yeah, I haven't watched Jetman but there are weirder series. To Qger and Ninninger are pretty odd too.

ToQ at least kinda has a point to the wacky.

Apparently the latest Ninninger episode is a Clip Show episode. They do it THIS quick? ... It's not gonna get cancelled, right?

That said, I find it amusing that even the show acknowledges that Takaharu's "I'M GETTING FIRED UUUUUPPPP!!!" is said so much like a Broken Record...

Yep, clip show. To be fair, it's at least a reasonable plot excuse; I've seen worse. Probably get Transcendent Star next ep though.

Indeed it was a Transcendent Star episode. That was pretty cool, even if the drama point is kind of stilted.

And so in free time, when I'm not doing Ninninger, I'm doing Gaoranger.

One side thing I wanna note is anytime Yellow says something in Gratuitous English. Like the noted "GAAH!! OH! MY! GOD!!" or "Come back! Fighting Spiritto! OK." Where else?

This won't spoil me much so you can tell which episodes. I gotta say, Yellow spams this less than Hoji/Deka Blue

I'm sorry for double posting, but on the latest Ninninger...

Am I the only one who thought that Kikyou should've been one of the Ninningers? Then again 'Murasaki Ninger' sounds a bit too awkward and shortening to 'Mura Ninger' seems like a copout.

Super Sentai XXXX now has a title: Doubutsu Sentai Jyuoger.

Somehow it makes the bonus AU Go-Busters episode Hilarious in Hindsight...

Like ToQger and/or ranger keys? Also, have a lot of spare cash lying around?

It's nice that they exist but that price tag... ouch.

Earlier today, I tried finding some videos of Gokaiger's opening theme, only to find that Columbia pulled down them down, for a series that has never been released in the United States. Granted, it was probably a copyright bot.

I'm having a bit of difficulty getting into this franchise. I tried downloading torrents of the first six episodes of Shinkenger, but I stopped when my computer got extremely loud less than halfway through. I'm still debating with myself as to whether buying the upcoming Dairanger boxset would be a good investment.

Acquiring subs gets pretty download-heavy, yeah. The official sub DV Ds are probably a good idea although they're pretty pricey and it's only Zyuranger and soon Dairanger available.

Am I actually the only one who's thinking that Ninninger is rather decent, instead of bad?

I'm enjoying Ninninger. Certainly more than ToQger.

Ninninger doesn't bore me, the action is good, and a good chunk of the cast is likable. Villains are meh, but hopefully the final four episodes make up for it.

I am looking forward to Furry Sentai Zyuohger.

I like Ninnin's cast but it's still too Taka-focused. Not as bad as it was at the start but still.

Both Ninnin and To Q aren't particularly popular as they're both quite lighthearted but I like both. I particularly like how Ninnin has past series (and even different show) cameos but actually gives them sensible plot and incorporates them into continuity (well, not the Drive one I guess), although the latest cameo seemed wasted.

The next Sentai is interesting in premise but outline and aesthetics aren't enough for me to form an opinion.

I still need to finish Dekaranger.

Really, I thought the more it goes, the less focus Taka got, and in any lesser focus he got... well he's just not as obnoxious as his old self goes, just simple Hot-Blooded. Am I the only one who thinks like that?

I will give Zyuohger a shot, because elephants have been mostly sidelined as auxilary stuffs, and it's the first time we get elephant-based main ranger. In case you didn't notice, I like elephants.

I'm waiting on Ninninger to finish so I can binge watch it. I would have done the same for other series I started but never finished but I don't have the patience to download the old batches.
