I'm not entirely sure what's going on in the current image. Apparently it has something to do with the trope, but I'm not entirely sure what. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to replace it with at the moment. Perhaps a two-parter with Wile E Coyote pushing down a Plunger Detonator, and then shrugging and looking at the camera in the second panel? Any suggestions?

Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.

Current is more of an example of Delayed Explosion. Plus, if I recall the scene depicted, Link wasn't even expecting an explosion.

Pull for Not An Example.

EDIT: Okay, according to the page, I don't recall the scene depicted, as Link was expecting an explosion. I still say pull, for being a bad image, but I rescind the "Not An Example" claim.

It looks misleading, yes. With two very closely related trope, you should avoid overlap in images.

Pull.

+1 to pull, I have no idea what's happening in that or how it relates to the trope.

That image just sucks:

Which Super Mario Bros stage ends with Mario having a question mark over his head after pushing the detonator plunger? Might have all the right elements.

[up] It might make a better image for this page, provided we could find a straighter, non-comedic example of a Delayed Explosion. (And I can't think of any, off the top of my head.)

Doesn't have to be a straight example. Can be one with an explosion that goes on for too long, which is another variant of the trope. But as the Mario image works on both, I'm content with a good suggestion for either page, and we can swap if necessary.

Clock is set. Still voting to pull for not clearly demonstrating the trope.

Pull.

It's just Link tilting his head and then flying. No explosion, no expectation of explosion, nothing at all to do with the trope. It doesn't matter what happens in the scene in the game, nothing relevant is visible in that picture.

I agree that the current image is worse than nothing. It's 99.9% in-joke, a reference for those familiar with the source.

The image on Delayed Explosion would work here, but it's also fine where it is, and nobody has suggested a replacement.
