Yeah. I wouldn't have minded them being generic if they gave us a little more about them, but yeah. With Flash, he just bumps into Twilight and they suddenly like each other though it was sweet of him to stand up for Twilight when Luna confronts her about Twilight supposedly causing a mess and it was a little sad watching what he thought was Twilight rejecting him (She says "No, no, no" when he asks her to the dance, but her reaction is to the dance being postponed since she won't be able to get the crown back in time to return to Equestria). Sunset was more or less your typical Alpha Bitch and everything she does is pretty much by the book (Slandering with fake pictures. Spreading fake gossip.) It wasn't until the end that she started getting interesting.

Oh and one more thing at one point Pinkie guesses that Twilight is a pony princess from another world and has to get the crown back before she's stuck right before Twilight was going to reveal just that. The rest of the EG mane 6 naturally scoff at that...until Spike starts talking.

Just like with Seven Psychopaths, the staff says 'it will be there' but there's no showtimes listed. Just... What's up with my theater?

@Ako: So overall it's good? Sounds like the few issues it has are ones that plagued the show anyway. Also, were there any romantic implications between Twilight and Flash? I know a lot of people were worried about that.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with Twlight having a love interest.

As long as it doesn't overtake the whole show (and I think the writers are smart enough to avoid that anyway), I don't care.

As I've said before, I think it's col that Equestria has been confirmed as part of a traversable multiverse.

@JT Yes, there are clear romantic implications between Twilight and Flash, but it did mostly come off as generic "New girl bumps into cute guy and fall for each other" without much else. It thankfully doesn't reach the point of Romantic Plot Tumor and most of the story does stay on Twilight and the mane 6 but I did wish they put a little more development into their relationship, especially if the ending really is implying it will continue. That said, Flash doing Twilight's Adorkable dance with Twilight was cute and I did feel a little bad when he thought she rejected him (It was actually her realizing she was running out of time). There is also a bit at the end when Twilight bumps in pony Flash Sentry and she blushes when Cadance says his name and the mane 6 tease her about it (And Pinkie correctly guesses that it was because he reminded of her of his human counterpart.)

Oh right I forgot to mention something: I forgot exactly what happened, but in the beginning,the Transformers transformation sound effect played while Pinkie was straightening herself up.

So, how does Sunset Shimmer find out about Twilight's element of harmony? I'd imagine that it would be hard to keep an eye on Equestria in the human world.

Keeping up with currnet events. It would be a little hard not to notice that the newest princess also defeated Nightmare Moon and Discors 9and helped defeat Sombra and Chrysalis) or that the elements of harmony (detailed in a book that is unlikely to be one-of-a-kind) resembled her tiara a bit. She may have even peeked in that box where the elements were kept for most of the show.

@Second spoiler: I don't know ANYONE who hasn't done something similar, imitating the sound with their mouths.

@Ako: I kinda hope the romance doesn't go anywhere. Mainly because 1. it sounds like Flash was kind of a flat character and I don't want them introducing him just for that and 2. the show doesn't need romance. Nearly every other show out there has it, and it's nice to have at least one that just ignores it.

If they do bring him back, I do hope he's able to stand on his own feet...er, hooves as a character instead of just being Twilight's crush. There's certainly a bit they could do and although I do say he's generic, I feel he has a little more potential to become a developed/likeable character than Sunset. But if they really can't pull it off, yeah, they might as well leave him out.

Sorry but until the climax, she was more or less a by the books Alpha Bitch, using a forceful demeanor plus gossip and edited photographs to control the entire school. And after the climax, she's suddenly all in tears and is all "I wish I had friends" after blowing up half the school and brainwashing everyone into becoming her army against Equestria (I'll admit that at least was kinda cool). Well, that was one big 360. Still, she did shed tears when she transformed, but they don't go into anything regarding her character outside being an Alpha Bitch so that's kind of a moot point and since Luna forcing her to rebuild the half of school she blew up brick by brick, we probably won't be seeing her for awhile. But hey, maybe the fanfic writers will redeem her in some way.

Now I'm officially afraid to watch this, period. That sounds just awful... In more ways than one, sadly.

No amount of Fan-fiction, IMHO, will ever redeem such a one-dimensional character, unlike Trixie, for example (Who I really don't like, but m glad to see some redemption for her erroneous ways...).

Sometimes fanfiction is the only thing that makes a setting or character worthwhile. Like when creators for certain manga about ninjas squander the world they've built, fanfic writers can use it more effectively (in some cases).

I think you mean 180. A 360 would mean she did not change at all. Though I'll still have to see the movie myself to judge how good it is.

Oh you're right... Now I feel really dumb...

As much as you have a point, I don't like it when people are right about stuff like that, knowing that like anything out there, 95% - 98% of it usually sucks...

I'd have to watch to really see. From what I've heard it's overall solid apart from the new characters. I'm honestly far more concerned with the character interaction than any epic conflict, so as long as that's good, I'll probably still enjoy it.
