Seems like it, unless Ms. Archer there in the blue picture is a heavily-redesigned version of Alexis.

Shen Yu I'm guessing is not coming back; Yellow Peril parody is a risky gamble with Poe's Law being what it is.

No Shen Yu also makes the entire cast of playable characters white, on top of that.

Yellow Peril is bad for business. As I like to say, "The Chinese are funny... Until you realize there's four billion of'em."

Four billion highly ideologized potential customers NOT buying your game because you took a dump on their nationalistic pride.

Watch some Vietnamese Evil Genius we never heard about before show up if Evil Genius 3 gets made at a later date... If anything, those guys are even crazier than the Chinese.

Great gameplay trailer. Nice to see that we have Equal-Opportunity Evil minions since in the last game most of your minions were white males, now we can have both male and female minions and other races of color.

And we can finally built our evil lair with multiple floors!

So, Henchmen.

We've got the return of Eli Barracuda and what appears to be Colonel Blackheart, plus... a military-dressed woman with a flamethrower and some Phantom of the Opera-looking mofo (The Great Mesmero after going on a diet?).

As long as we get The Matron back I'll be happy.

original composer returns for the 2nd game.

The girl with the Helmet looks like Moze...

I like how the "front" is more integrated into the base itself, rather than a separate building. Also hopefully they've fixed the awful invasive AI.

Like having to put a locked door with a dead end on the other side of the island at max security to keep the AI occupied there.

Also, do I see multiple LEVELS of the lair? looks really cool.

Wow, this one flew right beneath my radar. I loved the first one and played the hell out of it. I remember being very dissapointed when someone bought the IP a few years back, only to turn it into a cheap browser game. I am very glad to see that this is getting a proper second installment. It is well deserved.

My main hope is a more flexible alert system. I hated the red / green / yellow alert, and needing to manually tag agents. I should be able to designate zones "If someone's here. Kill em".

Also one change you can see, low tier minions don't seem to need a minion of the same time to train more. Seems to still be the case for higher tier minions.

Minions have random traits, like greedy (asks for more pay), lazy (works less), or Ex-Agent (can more easily spot members of his former agency)

So the green evil genius is not Dr. Neurocide, it would seem. There also seems to be a robot henchwoman.

Red Ivan has calmed down a lot, lost an eye and a hand, but still carries his trusty ol' rocket launcher.

You can choose from different islands to start on, in addition to choosing your genius and difficulty. There is no "second island" halfway through like in the first.

The Brainwasher isn't just a smarts-restoring item like in the last game; now it actually converts enemy agents into your own minions.

Minion race and gender is randomized, as are personality traits as pointed out. The same three promotion trees of science, muscle, and deception are back. Valet is back, and Biologist and Hitman seem to be renames of Biochemist and Marksman.

Super Agents are back, including a giant luchador one, and like before they can only be eliminated for good by doing side missions. The woman from the reveal trailer who fell in the shark tank is actually also a Super Agent, not just a generic enemy.

More importantly, the black Henchman is Eli Barracuda Jnr.

I think he's the same dude, considering they referred to him as a returning Henchman.

Unless this game really is set a couple decades after the first one and Maximillian just looks the same after all that time, but I was assuming this was more like a retelling than a narrative sequel.

You sure that lady looks like a generic investigator. Only the Luchador is called out as a super agent.

It's possible that was a mixed shot. She does have a wild west theme which kinda makes her stand out, but that could just be what American investigators look like.

I received an email from Rebellion declaring that Evil Genius 2 has been pushed to the first half of 2021 due to COVID-19 impacting development.

Expected and understandable.

Two things:

All four Evil Geniuses have been revealed in a dev blog.

ALSO, RED IVAN IS VOICED BY NONE OTHER THAN BRIAN BLESSED!

Sorry what? Can't really hear you with how much of a Large Ham Brian is!

I wonder who voice the other characters?

So Zalinka is (obviously) not a promoted Dr. Neurocide, but in fact a new character alongside Emma. The fact that each Evil Genius now has their own campaign is interesting. I look forward to trying out each of them, especially with multiple bases to choose from.

Also I love how they keep taking the piss out of the original game's Red Ivan and his indiscriminate rocket launcher firing.

Talking about more stuff. A lot of it is recap of things we already know, but there's some new info.

Curiously, the promotion tree for science minions has technician as a dead end, with scientist, biologist, and an unknown final class being consecutive. Guess they wanted to make sure you keep technicians around to repair things instead of turning them all into scientists.

Also apparently you get to use your doomsday device more than once during the campaign, instead of just pressing the button to end the game.

Full Metal Jackie is a 10/10 name.
