I'm gonna put my guess in now: somehow, Damon in the 1994 Dimension becomes human, has sex with Bonnie, and she gives birth to a daughter who somehow gets left behind in 1994, and grows up to be that girl who came to Mystic Falls to meet her dad, but instead shacked up with Jeremy.

Has it ever occurred to Klaus that if Mikael is kicking his ass in Vamp-to-Vamp combat, that he should try to use his Werewolf side (ie. transform) to tip the scales?
Also, large difference in strength and plot armor aside, why has noone tried the other methods of Vampire-killing on the Originals, like decapitation and removal of the heart? I mean, they're just as easy to stab/impale as anything else on this series.

So, Kai is actually Malachai, from the Gemini Coven. A Power Parasite asshole witch who is trying to manipulate/blackmail/force Damon and Bonnie to free him from his "Groundhog Day" Loop prison (which the latter two have also been trapped in).
Sarah is 'Uncle' Zack's daughter. And Damon crossed a line, by killing a pregnant woman (and thus also nearly the unborn child)...are we still supposed to root for this guy?
Wow, Stefan must be broken if one of his coping mechanisms is letting Muggles beat him up.

I refer you to the opening post. I basically watch this show (and the originals) with a generic Evilvs Evil approach to the characters.
I basically watch this show for Damon's snark and the Originals for the ham.
Any takers on a bet regarding the whole "Alaric can just make me unforget my love for Damon if he comes back" not working next week?
And I assume The Originals would simply grow new hearts (and possibly entire new torsos if decapitated).
They have very much "Only X can kill me!" type Immortality.
Which just means you got to get creative. I assume weighing them down and dumping them down the mariana trench would slow them down.

True. Though unlike Stefan, they won't be stuck drowning and reviving for three months. Though they will be constantly crushed by deep-sea water pressure as they drift upwards while repeatedly drowning and reviving. And unlike Stefan, they probably wouldn't be as opposed to shutting off their humanity as a coping mechanism.
Man, I'm still 'salty' over Katherine's fate.
So
If drinking human blood makes a Vampire stronger than if they drank animal blood, are there other kinds of blood that would make a Vampire even stronger? Like other Vampire blood, Werewolf/Hybrid blood, Witch blood or Original blood?
Cos maybe that's why Mikael is consistently physically stronger than Klaus and Elijah.
But lately, all he's had is Davina's (Witch) blood.

I've always wondering if cutting off an original's head would just leave them as a head. Possibly even a conscious one. Someone really should do some science and find out.
It's also nice to see that the main cast's only real concern about Tyler possibly killing a bunch of people is that he might become a werewolf again. And I wonder how this bunch is going to get by without being able to compel people, since it's not working anymore (I guess? Maybe everyone's on vervain again).

How awkward will the next episode be, what with Damon, Elena and Cute-Brag (what was his name again?). Not to mention that Bonnie may or may not be dead...again. And Stefan maybe finally having a reason to stay. And Caroline.
Interesting loophole with the Werewolf Curse. It reminds me of the loophole with the Gilbert Ring.
- Werewolf Curse - only triggers if the proto-Wolf 'lands the final blow'. If a non proto-Wolf (like Liv, a Witch) delivers the coup-de-gras, the Curse doesn't trigger.
- Gilbert Ring - as long as the coup-de-gras is delivered by a Supernatural Being (Witch, Werewolf, Hybrid, Vampire, Hunter, Doppelganger, Ghost), the Ring triggers and revives the wearer.

Bonnie died as she lived- as a tool for the other characters' convenience. If they do bring her back, they'll just stick her in the drawer again until they need another mess fixed (Bonus- they won't have to pretend that Luke is a real person anymore!)
You know, I have to point out what an incredibly ridiculous conceit it is that Stephan is being selfish by not trying to bring the dead back to life. As if nobody else has ever died before, and as if the reason nobody knows how to do it is just because they weren't bothering to look. But now someone important (ie, one of the trio the series is built on) has died, so of course there's got to be a way to rez them lying around. Stop being lazy, Stephan! There's a natural order you're supposed to be subverting right now.
Unless he's secretly a witch or vampire hunter or alien (like every other new person they meet), then his name is corpse-to-be.

Seriously. Klaus goes on and on and on about how he's an Original Hybrid, but never makes use of the extra perks it gives (like voluntary Shifting for a power boost).
Being Elijah is suffering. I do hope he gets some consolation and happiness at the end. And that Klaus doesn't fuck it up again.

And Davina and Kol officially team up.
How does keeping Mikael's existance a secret benefit Kol and his issues with Esther and Finn?
We all know Klaus isn't gonna die. If he does, so do the Vampiric Protagonists in Mystic Falls...except Alaric. Unless the producers are going for a Downer Ending on the series finale. At which point then they probably will kill Klaus off.

It seems that every attempt to revive someone non-Vampirically has a price. Then again, our M Cs don't really tend to care (too much) about others.
And I'm laughing internally at how weak and useless every OTHER Witch on Vampire Diaries and especially Originals makes Bonnie look.
Every second Witch on Originals can easily subdue an Original, which Bonnie requires either 100 Dead Witches or Expression to do.
Icing on the cake? Season 5, Bonnie once described Liv as 'stronger than she ever was'. Obviously that excludes the 100 Witches and Expression power-ups, but still.
Are we seriously going for another round of the seemingly toxic relationship known as Delena? What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.

and finally, I assume the reason Klaus never wolfs out when fighting Mikael is because of some psychological desire to beat his 'father' on equal terms. Showing him that he is strong after all.
Maybe some therapy will help and Mikael is on the wrong end of some Original Hybrid Curb-Stomp Battle soon.

I'm not sure if toxic was the correct word to describe their relationship, but season 5 Elena telling Damon how she always (for some reason) compromises/sacrifices/whatever her morals to repeatedly defend him from others and forgive him for all of his atrocities...doesn't exactly sound like a healthy relationship.
Is Esther's goal of uniting her family as Witches really so bad, barring the Grand Theft Me of innocent people? At least she's not trying to kill them all again...or is she? What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.

Since it's established that entering the border of Mystic Falls also removes compulsion (and Elena knows this by now), why doesn't she just take one (or two) steps inside the border, let the compulsion be removed, and then step out before she dies?

So, yeah. The Vampire Diaries. What the hell?
I'm not sure if the writers on this show are very talented people who are doing this intentionally, or if they're genuinely deranged.
LAST TIME ON THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: So, all of our "heroes" are looking for the cure for vampirism. But, turns out, doing that may wake up an ancient immortal who will destroy the world. And who is the bad guy here? The one guy who thinks this may be a bad idea, naturally!
Not to mention Elena's plan to kill him. Elena, the supposedly kind-hearted one, realizes that killing Kol will kill his entire line, which means that they'll be killing thousands of vampires along with him. And since they need Jeremy to kill more vampires for his hunter's mark - SCORE!
I think this show should end with the world being destroyed. And it should be the main cast's fault. That's where this show seems to be headed. Either that, or someone needs to come along in the last ten minutes, give the whole cast a speech about what terrible people they all are, and kill every last one with righteous fury.
