A hammer actually sounds like a pretty good combo of a spear and a fist. But then again, I don't think anyone was expecting Sugilite's weapon to be a wrecking ball, so it might be something completely out of left field.
That's a pretty logical fusion of their weapons, though. In fact, it's the first thing I'd think of. The second thing would be those guns from Flash Gordon that strangle you.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatEh, most people I saw predicted something like nunchucks. Which I suppose it something like a wrecking ball in some ways.
I imagine some kind of spiked gloves.
Don't forget that Amethyst is half of her as well, so there'd have to be a whip in there somewhere.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYou mean if they combined three of them?
I meant for the Pearl/Garnet fusion. Though I suppose a three-Gem fusion would also be possible. It'd better be REALLY awesome (and saved for truly deserving moment.)
I can live with that, and being dumb for being wrong as well... Thanks.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I hope CN promoes when the New Episodes air or many people will miss them.
CN will be CN.
Rebecca Sugar did a Ask-Me-Anything on Reddit which reveals some interesting things, mostly about the setting:
- When someone asked why Rose was dead, Sugar responded "IS she dead?"
- Crystal Gems do not reproduce ("not naturally" and whatever way they came into existence means they "Don't have parents"); Steven's birth was extremely out of the ordinary.
- Potentially any Crystal Gem has the power to shapeshift, Amethyst is just especially good at it. Garnet has some sort of shapeshifting ability we haven't seen yet.
- Crystal Gems "were never 'teens,', not in the human sense". She seems to be implying they're either Born As Adults or have a very different "growth" period.
- Crystal Gems have No Biological Sex, they only look like human women and not for any particular reason. Steven is the exception and that only because he's half-human.
The thread is ridiculously oversized, so I suggest just looking through the list of her posts if you want to read everything.

I like that there are no male Gems. Species with no biological sex nearly always "coded" male, so it's a nice change.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. And because of the difference between the meaning of the terms "gender" and "sex", this means they technically are a One-Gender Race.

Few more things I on found on a readthrough:
- A question that came up repeatedly was the meaning of the fifth point on the star in Rose's Room◊. Sugar refused to explain on the ground of it being a spoiler, so there's clearly something important about it.
- Gems generally avoid interfering with human affairs. However, their existence has still given Earth a slightly different history then real life. Beach City is in the US, but a version where, among other things Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia are one state.
- The pilot for the show is not canon with the series, but some elements of it show up.
- No one knows how Steven will age.
- The pilot's animation was directed by Genndy Tartakovsky.
- Steven is homeschooled by the gems.

The consolation is that Virginia at least merged northward instead of southward.
I want to read the thing, it sounds so fascinating. However the place I'm at blocks reddit. And even if I were to use my phone's data plan to go to it I wouldn't be able to understand it anyway.
I have given the place glances before when people are doing Q and A and the entire format is confusing and makes no sense and clearly an awful way to organize a thread. Is someone going to continue transcripting the answers or am I going to have to invest in some kind of "reddit translator software" or something?

The Blog The Artthat makes sense. who else is better to teach him about world history; the Gems have probably seen most of it.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.@Mousa: Use a proxy site. They're everywhere. And like I said, the best way to read it is to follow the link I posted which just lists Sugar's posts—if you want to see the question she's responding to, press "context".
Even if they don't follow events themselves, they likely realize Steven should be learning about them by merit of being half-human. Besides, the gems seems to be barely acknowledged as out of the ordinary; they probably need home school certification like everyone else.
Finally caught "Coach Steven", and Pearl is now truly one of my favorites, with a beautiful song and true strength to match.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThat was a great link, thanks Thatother1dude! I'm happy to see that it confirms many of the things I guessed here or said I wanted to see in the show. Now let's hope the pace picks up!
The pace of what?
The series. In other words, let's get to those plots already!
They usually don't come out and blatantly say they have that many episodes lined up unless they're extremely confident about it, so I think for the most part we can relax for now. As for the airing every weekday at 6:30, the reason appears to be that the change of CEOS resulted in a change of scheduling and they decided to promote Clarence as much as they could since it was a new show. Steven Universe and Uncle Grandpa got the shaft because they're a bit older, but now that the hiatus is over they're going to put the brunt of their focus on promoting these two by spamming us with more episodes. Either way, I'm just glad it's finally coming back.
It doesn't suck just because you hate it.
