Disney Infinity

It wouldn't really fit the game's artstyle.

Just scored a Trainee Cuckoo Clock Hat for my sidekick. Doing a midair throw with the sidekick pretty much ZA WARUDO's the area around them. Can't wait to get the other variants with additional abilities!

Where exactly do you get sidekick gear? What should I be playing?

There's a treasure hunt maze game you can access from the barn part of the hub. Keep doing it over and over to get more gear.

Does the difficulty level matter?

Nope, not that I've noticed. There's no need to worry about getting duplicates, either.

Has anyone bought the Toy Box Speedway, and would you recommend it to anyone else? Bear in mind I'm not a big fan of how vehicles handle in DI, but I have Ghost Rider's cycle and I'd kinda like to use it.

Very nice looking figure, but check this out: Nemo's apparently got the Finding Nemo Sky Box and Terrain Power Discs packaged with him according to this◊. That's new, and it's also good news for people who don't have those particular discs yet.

I'm glad we're definitely getting Nemo and Dory, but I hope there is at least one more Finding Nemo/Dory character coming. It would seem like a waste if they didn't include at least three considering how many characters are in both movies.

I have a question to ask. Has anyone here done any figure customisation? I ask because I'd like to get a figure of the kid from The Good Dinosaur at some point and repaint it to resemble Tombi (or Tomba! to everyone outside Europe). Would a specific kind of paint be required to do this?

I am legitimately hurt by this. I was looking forward to seeing what they would do for Rouge One, Pete's Dragon, and Moana.

Yeah, it's a shame. It was apparently really good despite appearing to just be an Amiibos/Skylanders rip-off.

It's not just the Infinity series that's going. The entire self-publishing division of Disney Interactive is being taken with it.

Meaning? Disney Interactive is (pratically) dead. It's now just a licensing company.

Oh what? Damn, that really sucks.

Then what's the future of Disney's games gonna look like? KH is still safe with Square, but I'm curious how Disney's going to handle gaming now with out Disney Interactive.

My guess? For one, I think the Star Wars license is fine at EA for the time being. As for their other properties (especially the Marvel properties), I'm not too sure. Whatever happens in the future, there's probably going to be big bidding wars from other developers/publishers.

But we're getting a bit off-topic. Let's talk about memories with the Infinity toys, shall we?

Well, this announcement was as subtle as getting hit on the head by a monkey wrench.

I mean, I never touched the stuff and even I was taken aback when I heard about this.

Really though, my heart to all of you guys who apparently enjoyed this. I guess all that's up in the air now is what will it mean for Disney-related video games...

Best case scenario, they would put whoever won out as a thank you for those who followed the series. I'd hate all that to be for naught. But that probably won't be the case.

Then again, they never seemed to give any sort of update on what was going on with that poll at any point. I wonder if they actually did have plans to make a figure based off of the winner or if it wasn't going to happen.

That would suck. I personally would've really liked it if they made Disney Vs. Capcom. Pipe dream, of course, but pipe dreams aren't illegal last time I checked. :V

Nah. They will likely be courting other developers and/or publishers to bag the licenses to their properties. It's less costly than having to publish the games themselves, when you think about it.

Don't know how licensing works, but I'm pretty sure any Star Wars, Kingdom Hearts, or even Marvel game will be fine.

But hey, it just hit me. We're all (hopefully) fully grown adults mourning the impending loss of a video game/toyline. Can any of you guys imagine how kids will react to this?

HINT: not very well. And by "not very well", signs most likely mean "mewling, kicking, and screaming like the end times have come...because it kinda is the end of the world for them." And let's not forget the generous portion of them wailing "it's not FAIR" to their parents.

Those poor things... ;_;
