But wouldn't you use feminine speech if you live like a crossdresser for a long time? And there are men who have feminine names( not to mention he can change his name). Although there is also little evidence that he/she is a crossdresser(his/her VA maybe).

If she wants to present and live as a female, it's only right to respect that decision. *shrug*

Is the florist's gender keep going to be asked every single time an episode is released?

New character Choi appears! It seems like she likes the prince (it figures), but then she changes her mind and falls in love with Tamako because she smells good. She hasn't made herself my favorite character, but it was noble of her to help the people in the market since they are letting her stay there, even though she thought they "tricked" Dera into getting fat so she wouldn't eat any of the food they offered her and collapsed twice in the bath from hunger (let's just say that was the reason since it makes the most sense).

Also we see her butt! Which was kind of surprising for this series. Apparently, that's her normal, tanless skin color. Or she sunbathes naked.

p.s. Let's just go with Red Savant; if everyone treats Hanase as a woman, then she's a woman. Thinking about it too deeply will only cause headaches.

Ummmmm...... I think that last scene is supposed to imply that she thinks Tamako's the prince's bride. It's not that she is crushing on her.

That's why I tagged it as Joking Mode.

And we don't know what it implies yet since the episode ended there! *

I think it'd be Sayori or Shiori would be married to that prince. Tamako is too attached to the market to leave—which, I think, is the entire point of the story.

@Ruise: She passed out because she spent too long in the hot water. =)

As a technical matter, I wonder if we should spell Dera's master's name as Cho'i rather that Choi. Most English speakers, I believe, would likely pronounce it as one syllable ("Choy") otherwise.

^Now that you mention it, the Prince does pronounce it like that, with the 'i' separated. I think most of the shopkeepers vary along the spectrum from Choy to Cho'i, though.

It could be a combination of the two. There has to be some kind of consequence for not eating (much?) for three days.

Episode 7: Choi is indeed cute, and a good person. Her style of fortunetelling ain't shabby either. And of course she has a thing for her prince. A prince who's fated to marry Tamako apparently.

Congrats to Sayuri (and don't worry Bunny Baths owner, you'll adapt), condolences to Afro. Don't worry, tofu is still square.

It was also nice of Tamako to provide Choi the sounds of the waves.

Definitely liked the use of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and Beethoven's Fifth. Found they worked hilariously this 8th Episode

Yeah, that was a good episode. Cho'i remains very cute - and it seems like she's got her own harem building up, heh.

In this episode, we torture Dera (for his own good) and dress Choi up.

Choi and Kanna are a lot alike. Shipping them now because I can.

And obviously, Dera looked weeeeeird at the end.

That post-workout Dera disturbs me.

Come on, let me see more about the scent thing.

Aww, Choi's so cute. So was the grandpa in that one scene, ahaha.

Kanna continues to be the best character. Building birdhouses and ready to turn them into sawdust at any moment. And the way she so deftly combined Dera's exercise with cheer club activities. And the trolling. And her marination chant.

Next episode is about love again. Preview prominently features Anko and Mochizuki. Huh.

So Dera is fat again, but his physical endurance surely improved... And Anko's crush looks like a bookworm to me— wearing T-shirts with math on it?

Music is awesome today, plus some backstories.

MOAR MOCHI MOAR MOE.

1. What happened to Dera's body!? Everyone completely forgot he had gotten buff!

2. EVERYONE IS MOE. EVERYONE. Yuzuki. Choi. Tamako's dad...

3. Holy sheet, the music store owner was good looking back in high school! This feeling isn't healthy!

4. Tamako's dad has since lost all his talent as a musical artist after he began focusing all his efforts on mochi and being a single father

Cho'i's main complaint was Dera not able to fly at all. Despite he's getting fat again, he could fly this episode, Cho'i could cut him some slack.

He's slimmer than he was when Cho'i showed up, anyway.

Okay, so that wasn't just my imagination.
