No, I know they're different with how they do combat. For one they're both more story-focused, for another in Torment combat is much less of a focus than either of those.
And neither of those is a tactical RPG.
But Wasteland is, so it should do it right.
I only brought up Pillars and Torment because just like Wasteland 2 they're new games based off the old classic CRPGs.

Isn't Wasteland story focused rpg? <_< And I'm still not getting the answer on how tactical combat is bad in Wasteland 2, I want to know why I have different opinion about it.
Honestly there's not really much for me to elaborate on here. People said the tactical combat is bad. That's a specific complaint. If you want a detailed explanation on why, I'm not really the person to ask. I can't remember random complaints on the internet too well (or really, much of anything, bad memory...), and interrogating me isn't going to help.
Even if I did look back to see the specifics of their complaints, I don't think it would really bring much to the conversation. And I wasn't even bringing it up for this reason in the place, at all. I wasn't wanting a debate, or for someone to dissect what I'm saying, or try and get me to explain other peoples' opinions when that was never the point in the first place.
So sorry, but I'd rather drop this subject....You're kind of stressing me out here and there was really no reason for this.

Umm, sorry, but... Why did you bring it up in the first place if you don't know why they thought it was bad or didn't want to talk about it?
<_< The thing that was bugging me was that you made a statement, but didn't say why. Lots of people do that and its starting to tire me.
Anyway, sorry again, though I'd have to point out that if you are looking for tactical rpg, check out Divinity Original Sin
Does anyone have a specific song they'd like to hear during the game's opening?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Perry Como, take it away.
Time to dust this thread off.
I'm excited.
Oh really when?I've only ever played previous Bethesda games on console, so I'm excited for this one. Going to be building myself a good gaming rig to be able to use the multitude of mods that will inevitably be created for this game.
Can't wait.

Watch out, Post-Apocalypstic Shepard is here!

I'm surprised that the US didn't "accidentally" bomb Boston, since China apparently needed it intact for some nefarious purpose.
Well, that or in that universe, the plague of hipsters was never unleashed upon the world.
I also wonder if there's a quest named "One If By Land" or "Two If By Sea".
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisWas that Troy Baker's voice at the end?
Is the main character of Fallout 4 (if playing as a dude) voiced by Troy Baker?
Baker... Baker never changes.
Everyone will be voiced by Troy Baker. After the bombs fell, Troy Baker inherited the Earth.
The ultimate question is: How many references there will be to Mad Max: Fury Road, or closer to the media, the Mad Max game ?

Well, this Wasteland doesn't seem to be a desert, so we're not going to get an excessive number, like an entire war-rig. I'm guessing just some basic "quests named after famous lines" Shout Outs.
Since the location looks lovely (as far as postapocalypstic stuff goes), probably a quest called "A Lovely Day". Maybe a brown leather armour this time around similar to Tom Hardy's Max?

I don't know, unless that's the main villain, it looks like the PC talked. You don't end a trailer with the PC talking like that and not have it be a reveal that the protagonist will not be silent.
A voice acted PC would be nice. :D
Also Vault 111?
There are 112 Vaults in the lore of the first two, so at least it's not a Plot Hole
It's not a vault number I remember
Oh really when?Aye, assuming the kotaku leak is correct you're voiced. Thankfully it mentions both male and female mains.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?
I'm not taking it personally, I'm just annoyed by "I heard other people say its bad, but I'm not gonna explain why its bad" type of thing
That or I'm just agressive when tired
Anyway, not sure how Pillars of Eternity and Torment Numerera are going to be more tactical <_< I mean, Baldur's gate and Planescape Torment aren't really tactical games.
