Obituary's "Slowly we Rot" was one of the first death metal songs I heard and still sounds appropriately crushing to this day. Unfortunately even their classic material just really drags. Bolt Thrower did crawling mid-paced to slow death metal better.

I find Pain Of Salvation pretty underwhelming, especially considering they're often prescribed to me as a band I should like, but Iter Impius and A Trace Of Blood are both pretty great tunes.

Kanye West's Power.

I can't deny, when I first heard this in Saints Row 3, I was impressed.

Fully agreed on Power. It's a perfect fit there and not bad otherwise.

Same artist, damn I love No Church in the Wild, despite its overuse in trailers and such. Epic, haunting, moving piece.

I'm not exactly a fan of Kelly Clarkson. While she is better than a lot of other pop singers, her music tends to mostly hover around mediocre, nothing ever too bad, but nothing much that could be called really great. However, I do like the singles from her Breakaway album, "Breakaway", "Because of You", "Behind These Hazel Eyes", and "Since U Been Gone". I really like the power pop sound of "Since U Been Gone" especially.

[up]Another great song of hers IMO is "Don't Rush" with Vince Gill. Very smooth early 80s country-pop vibe on that one.

I got turned off by NellyFurtado thanks to my only real exposure being a lot of her songs circa-2006, but "All Good Things(Come To An End)" is a damn good song in both English and Spanish.
