I recall seeing it Greenlight some time ago, and I definately upvoted it. Odd that it hasn't gotten more attention though.
BTW... you're not trying to promo your own game here on TV Tropes, are you? Not too sure how the Mods are gonna view that...

my drawing blog ya'll UPDATES 10 TIMES A MONTH WOW, THIS IS STRAIGHT UP MUH SOGGY KNEEThis game is absolutely amazing and I have no idea why there isn't a more recent topic about it...and so damn ancient to boot.
The game has fully destructible terrain and a roster of dozens. Every character has their own weapon and bomb attack. Starting character Rambro is the "boring" character with a fast, long-ranged machine gun and a bunch of grenades. Babrocus has a short range flamethrower and napalm bombs. It gets crazier and I think half the fun is just seeing who pops up. BroGvyer might be my favorite so far with sticky dynamite and a booby-trapped turkey that lures terrorists to eat it before exploding.

"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I do remember playing Broforce in its Early Access period, but then got sidetracked, should really pick it up since it's fully released.
I've been loving this crazy piece of work since getting it on PS+
I even downloaded the theme by Strident from iTunes (listening to it now)
Thread renamed per request.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThanks.
The game is madness. The only part I didn't like has been the second covert mission—it depended on you knowing mechanics the game never bothered to explain and you had to have a bro with proper grenades.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984What do you actually have to do to beat that level? I never managed to get through it.
Don't have to but it unlocks power ups.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Yeah, I'm asking what you have to do to beat it
Is that the one where you have to know how to dash by double tapping the movement buttons?
Just realizing: why didn't they play the Broforce theme during the last stage of the final battle with Satan? That would've been the most epic Theme Music Power-Up, like, ever.

That theme song actually got me into listening to Strident, though I wish they had more songs on their You Tube page.
Beat Hard Mode the other night. I have trouble pinpointing why it felt harder besides there being more Mooks than usual (and I think they may have been a tad more aggressive, but I'm not sure).
Still think that last boss fight should've had Strident on loop after you separate Satan's head from the tower of flesh. Or maybe when you knock out his laser eye.
Surprise! Broforce is getting another update next year :o

I see several new Bros alongside the older faces in that video, particularly to the right side of the crew (and the blonde woman with the red jacket and vampire stick). I think the female might be Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I've got no idea who the other guys are, especially the angel.

Basically you blow the place up and kill terrorists and somehow manage through the wreckage through wallclimbing and background ladders. The core goal of the brototype (link on greenlight page) is to kill the red imp guy and escape alive. The bros you start with and rescue are completely random, but if you rescue a bro, the other bro will vanish and wait patiently until the current bro dies.
Speaking of, each bro is a mix of "person of mass destruction" and "one hit point wonder". Each terrorist takes roughly 2 shots to knock over, while a bro can die from just one bullet. However each bro has way more firepower than terrorists, and the game is beautifully made so that there is no bros that are more powerful than others.
Hell, I could make a tvtropes page for this if I knew how. I registered here just to tell the forum about this game and don't actually know how TV Tropes works, haha.
