If you just wanted simple time wasters, I'd recommend Bad Piggies and the Kongregate app.
Having played both on the Nexus 7, One S and Galaxy S III, the Sonic The Hedgehog 4 games actually manage to be pretty decent on Android devices.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. If you like JRP Gs, Final Fantasy III is on Android and works pretty well.
Robotek is pretty fun.
There's also Dantesinferno, which despite the name, is nothing like the EA game. It's kind of like... a puzzle game. Except not. I don't know how to describe it, aside from "Really hard."
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."@Komo: Is it one of those ports with the gamepad onscreen on top of the sides of the playing field? I've tried platformers with onscreen buttons on there before and I always got frustrated playing them.
Never played any FF, to be honest.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle....try an emulator.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.An emulator of what, exactly?
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Anything. Like, a SNES, NES, or whatever other emulator it could run.
Many of Adult Swim games are pretty good on the android, I think.
Watch SymphogearWell, the onscreen buttons are on the bottom of the sides of the screen. In Episode II's case, you can also use a Bluetooth controller, though I don't know why one would use it with a smartphone.
Also, if you haven't played it yet, I would also like to recommend getting Sonic CD, as it's a pretty great port/remake of an awesome game.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. They did Robot Unicorn Attack, right? I got that, but I never played it since I never feel like plugging in my headphones (since the music is integral to the experience of the game from what I hear) just to play a game on my phone.
I actually just tried out the free version about 25 minutes ago, and while it's pretty good and accurate, I just could never get used to the controls of the buttons being on the screen itself. It just feels way too awkward to me and my fingers get in the way of my field of vision as well.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. The GBA Fire Emblem games always seem to work well for that, due to constant auto-save.

So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonI'll consider it...though I've personally never been into turn-based strategy games.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. The Inotia games.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Anyone have any non-RPG suggestions? I just want something that'd be good to kill time with and that you'd say is really enjoyable.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Well, there's always Angry Birds and its spinoffs, especially Bad Piggies.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.@0dd:
There's also Dantesinferno, which despite the name has nothing to do with the EA title aside from being based on the same book.
Inotia and Zenonia are just decent. I'm not sure if it's against TV Tropes rules, but I can give you a link to an excellent GBA emulator.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Cut the Rope, Unblock Me, Flow, Tower Defense, One Touch Drawing, Cordy Sky, Slice It, Word Search
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. How are those two played?
@Angry Birds: I played it for a long time. Loved it, but tired of it.
I've got one, but thanks. Never heard of those games, what are they?
Cut the Rope I've heard of and seen and have considered, but I'm not sure*; Unblock Me I've never heard of; same for Flow as Cut the Rope; Tower Defense I've played in Flash form a lot in the past, and it gets kinda boring to me after a while; One Touch Drawing, the name sounds interesting...what's that one? Cordy Sky I've never heard of; Slice It...that anything like Fruit Ninja? Word Search, nah, but thanks
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. They are free RPG's. Zenonia is action RPG, very patchy translation, and Inotia is party-based, with annoying pop-ups, and both have the KRPG tendency for fetch quests and pointless plots. Still among the best that you'll find, though.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.A game I forgot to mention - Canabalt, which is a very simple but addictive game where you run across rooftops and try to get as far as you can.
Now that it's finally available on Google Play, I suggest that you should consider taking a look at Sonic Jump.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Sonic Jump has been keeping me pretty well occupied (thanks, Komo!), but I looked up Canabalt, and now I've bought it. Will try it soon as I can.

Hey, so, I just replaced my old phone with a Droid RAZR and I've really gotten tired of all the mobile games I'd been playing for a while. Can anyone recommend any? I'm just looking for ones that are good time wasters, not necessary ones with too much depth (though I wouldn't be against those kinds of recommendations).
