I...really...do not understand the hate for Bieber. I mean, he sounds like a Nice Guy.

It's cause he has no talent, yet thinks he's hot shit.

In a nutshell.

People find the appeal inexplicable, or the degree of appeal inexplicable. I'm not sure where or how that leads to anger, but it does.

In my case, it angers me that it's a waste of money and time on something which I'm not very invested in, but that's not exactly rational.

You think he seems like a nice guy? Read some news stories about him now and then. I don't find his music interesting, or even very good, although I respect his musical ability (to play instruments, mind you, not to sing). I dislike him for being an entitled, self-important little snot, who gets away with crap because he's Justing Bieber.

It doesn't surprise me that a network would greenlight something like this; after all, Xplay just got cancelled, so that good karma had to be balanced by something like this J Beebs show.

Really? Hmm, interesting, interesting...

Personally, if he has that many fans, even if there are equally vocal anti-fans, I think he has to be talented to hold such esteem among people.

While I will not watch this show, or do I care for his music, I have my own reasons for enjoying news of the boy.

If anybody else visualizing an "I'm Not Here" type documentary of self-hatred and drunkenness?

I'm confused. Are you talking about I'm Not There, the biopic of Bob Dylan, or I'm Still Here, the Joaquin Phoenix fake documentary?

Didn't they already have this...it was called Hannah Montana. I guess they can get away with it because Disney owns ABC. Also, I too never get the hate against Bieber. Even if he's an asshole, there are a lot of critically acclaimed musicians who are probably also unpleasant to be around.

Could be entertaining. What's funny is, I don't think I've ever listened to a single one of his songs, not one. So everything I've heard about him, both good and bad, is entirely third person.

I can't think up of a single witty remark that could do this news justice.

This isn't an announcement, this is a punchline to some sort of sick twisted joke.

@Nick: Though Bieber has finally elevated himself to mediocre, over the years, he is a bit of a dick. The Pacquiao diss, for example, was a bit uncalled for, and I should know, cause my countrymen won't stop going on about it.

Simply because he started out as an idealistic, innocent little boy singing for mommy and daddy, and now he is getting away with anything, becoming more...corrupt, if you will.

The progression from innocent to this...that, my friends, is what I like about this boy. Hopefully, he "progresses" even more.

Yes, only time will tell, good friends. But for now, let's talk about the show, and how they could possibly not screw this stupid idea up.

And unless it's some sort of satire, i do not see how anything can pull this off.

I read somewhere that it's about his life before he becomes famous. Which means that it will probably be incredibly boring, I mean the only interesting thing that I've heard about his pre-fame life is that he comes from a single parent house.

So THIS is the motive behind that castration/murder plot.

While it is true that there are plenty of performers who are doubtless as or more unpleasant to be around there aren't any such performers who have achieved Beiber's degree of over-exposure in the modern day...simply because there are no performers as heavily covered as Beiber, period. And while he has an OK singing voice, he doesn't have an OK song. They're all just so totally stupid.
