Important Information

Also, it's been brought to my attention that I missed some very crucial things while looking over the characters (some GM I am, huh?), and I would like to address them now.

First, all of the Talru were created by the First Emperor. Not some; not most; all of them were. There are a few characters who have a Talru that were not created by the power/resources/magic/etc of the First Emperor, and I would greatly appreciate it if these were editted so that they were. This is more nitpicking on my part than anything else, and I'm sorry for making you guys do this. >.<

Ariadne/Arachne's Silk (Saturn), Puck/Swap Card (KSPAM) Gregory/Glasses of True Seeing (Bohkura Burnes), and Joe/The Boxcar (Taco) will have to be editted.

Again, I'm sorry to impose on you guys like this, but can you guys edit those things for me?

More Important Information

Futhermore, there is another small issue I'd like to address and make clear; Required Compatibility. There's a couple of Talru whose compatibilities have to be changed to be more 'general' since they are very, very specific bloodline/specifics. The Required Compatibility, and this goes for everyone, is supposed to be someone's personality, their traits, their mindset, their willingness, etc... not their DNA or anything of the such.

Arachne's Silk (Saturn) and Caeruleum Fulgur (Daltar) will have to be editted to be clearer, and to eliminate the 'family' blood-line parts.

Primrose (Bombadillo), is in between. Looking back upon it, I'm not 100% what the exact Required Compatibility for it is, and I only assumed that it works for those who have both grace and a strong spirit? If that's not the case, can you please edit it so that it is similar to that, Bombadillo?

Again, I'm terribly sorry about all of this and for not catching it sooner and letting you guys know beforehand; my fault.

Concerning Allison, and Further Important Information

The assets are now fine.

Also, Daltar, for her Electricity Manipulation, I do want you to know that even though her Talru has strong abilities, she will get far more tired and exhausted if she abuses them. Main ability: she wont get tired that easily. Hidden Ability: she will get tired very quickly, and if she uses this too much her powers will become unavailable to her for a short amount of time.

Manipulation Type Talru are a double-edged sword; they are vastly powerful, but if they are used too much they become unvailable for a short amount of time to the user due to the imense stress of using them.

This goes to both Daltar, and futher Manipulation Type Talru in the future as well.

Removed the bit about the family and understood about the limitations.

I tried to remake the Boxcar's origin while trying to also keep the same premise of "hubristic Crisis Fiend gets owned and turned into weapon." Is it now properly created? I don't know what sort of tech was around when the First Emperor was around, but we can say that he used a crossbow or bow if rifles were unavailable.

• Name: Leonidas Rengard
• Age: 26
• Gender: Male
• Appearance/Description: This
• Personality: Leonidas as a man driven by his own sense of Justice. He fights for his friends and to protect those who can't protect themselves. He's a kind fun-loving guy who fights for a better tomorrow.
• Goals/Motive: To destroy the evil of the Empire and to make sure there's a better tomorrow.
• Bio/History: -to be added-
• Talru:
  • Name: the Great Falcon
  • Creation: A large Omega Class Crisis Fiend named the Great Falcon, which was a large burning Falcon. As it was slain, it's ashes was taken and was smithed into the Talru.
  • Type: Weapon Talru
  • Required Compatibility: A sense of justice and life that burns within the soul like a fire. The Great Falcon also has a strange connection to it's user. When first given or found, the blade is broken and if the new person is compatible, he can use the fire within to reignite the Talru and the blade will reforge and grant it's power. But as the user dies or uses it's ultimate ability, the blade will shatter and await a new person to reignite it.
  • Appearance: A large two-handed greatsword lined with gold.
  • Main Ability: The blade is coated in flames but the user is unaffected by it.
  • Hidden Ability: The Great Falcon has 4 stages, that the user can switch between, the Red Falcon, Blue Falcon, Green Falcon and Golden Falcon. The Red Falcon is it's starting form and can be maintained without much difficulty, but when switching to the other forms, it becomes harder to maintain the power and the user will become more fatigued the more they keep changing forms.
    • Red Falcon: The fire is red and as the fire can form into a large bird of fire, that flies forward as he stabs.
    • Blue Falcon: The flames of the blade turn hotter and to a blue color, as the blade becomes longer and deadlier, but harder to handle.
    • Green Falcon: The fires become green, hotter then the red but cooler then the blue. The fire will spread out and form into burning wings, sitting on the back of the user. They do not allow the user to fly, but can be controlled like wings and when flapped, can allow the user to get a burst of speed to move forward faster.
    • Golden Falcon: The flames become golden hued and are about as hot as the blue flames at this point. The sword is completely turned into fire which cloaks the user, making him completely covered in flames. This form comes closest to the Talrus origin, he gains the wings from the Green Falcon and his hands are covered by flames shaped like claws. But this comes a price, the form is very tiring and the protection from the flames starts to falter, and the user starts getting hurt from the flames more and more as he uses it.
    • Final Falcon: This is the ultimate attack of the Great Falcon, the weapon turns into pure flames that cover the users primary arm, which can be unleashed in one final attack. The attack will unleash the full strength of the Great Falcon which will be unleashed in a great explosion of it's strong flames. But this will come at great cost of the user...
  • How did your character obtain their Talru?: It was inherited, given to him by his Grandfather.
• Assets: A canteen, a knife and the scabbard of his blade.

I'm going to post the story when I've finished fully coming up with it, posting it just to get my voice out and get to see if my Talru is approved.

• Name: Ellen Tailor - Black Letter
• Age: 18
• Gender: Female
• Appearance/Description: The heart is a lie
• Personality: Cynical, Realistic, No Nonsense and utterly selfish. She loves money and the pleasures of life, be it a nice relaxing nap, a delicious pastry or the feel of soft silk on her skin. She is intelligent, calculating and a very good actress. She can pick up roles and discard them as easily as a normal person may put on or take off a mask, all the while letting her true self lie underneath, untouched by events outside of it. She is a broken human and she knows it. However, that part within her that is broken is what managed to keep her alive. The ability to feel no remorse and no hesitation. The ability to kill without even batting an eyelash at the act. Still, even as broken and selfish as she is, she is not inhuman. She does need and appreciate other people and the comforts of life.
• Goals/Motive: Ellen wants money, wants to live the great life, wants to be safe and hates slavers with a passion.
• Bio/History: A girl born in a village of the Northern Steamer which was raided for slaves by the Empire when she was but a child. She was enslaved, auctioned and sold to a cruel household of a noble. It was here serving inside the house where she was the lowest of the low where she learned to kill her own sense of self in order to survive. She put on different masks depending on who she was around with, developing personas that were the most agreeable to the ones ruling over her life. In this way she became a favorite slave, trusted and liked by all within the household, the most tame and efficient of them all. Which is why everyone, Ellen included, was surprised by her betrayal. She was called to shave the noble she served... however, as she did her duty she realized that off all the times she had done this, today given the members of the staff left in the house and what they were doing and where, she could make an escape. With a clinical precision she didn't know she had she looked over her plan over and over in her head... and was unable to come with a flaw in it. Thus, without any fear or hesitation the meekest most tame of all the servants captured in the raid gutted the noble which had been her tormentor in the first days of her being bought... the man who held her leash. She then made her escape, walking quietly out into the world after arranging for a fire to take the entire mansion. After that, Ellen learned the ways of the assassin in the corrupt streets of the Capital. It wasn't hard for her to find a teacher in these arts, though she had an affinity for the profession far greater than most could claim. It has been two years since those events and Ellen now operates alone. After obtaining her Talru she opened a tailoring shop which serves as her civilian identity. However, at night she takes on jobs from wherever they might come as long as they pay well. However, she makes an exception for slaves of the North and those that remind her of her earlier situation. To those, she leaves a black letter for them to find, where they may write the name of whoever they desire the most dead. To her neighbors she is a perfectly nice though average girl somehow making a living in the Capital, with big dreams and an unusual love for delicacies and a bad habit of napping on work hours in her own store.
• Talru:
  • Name: Fashionista
  • Creation: Weaved from strings dipped in the blood of a shape shifting ape-like Fiend and reinforced with powerful enchantments.
  • Type: Utility
  • Required Compatibility: To be one without a strong sense of self. To be one that can change identities as one changes clothes. The willingness to do anything, to assume any role. The more limitations, morals and taboos the user respects the less compatibility they will have with this Talru.
  • Appearance: A nice cream and brown colored scarf.
  • Main Ability: The ability to change forms. Fashionista allows for both the user and the Talru to change into any humanoid form at will, while the Talru can change into any garment the user desires. However, there is no increase in the strength of the user even if they change into a form with more muscular capacity than theirs. Fashionista can be used for camouflage by changing itself to resemble the surroundings, though it does not grant the user invisibility. The Talru can have its fabric be modified into another form attainable by cloth, so it could pass for a tent or a hang glider. Finally, in its scarf form, the Talru may be manipulated to move and stretch to latch onto objects, having the same strength as a regular human arm.
  • Hidden Ability: Bottomless pockets. Fashionista can produce pockets unto the which numerous objects can stored without weighting down the user.
  • How did your character obtain their Talru?: Bought on the Bazaar while arming a costume for a mission. Given the item's tricky compatibility this artifact was deemed a simple scarf by its previous owner.
• Assets: Some money, lockpicks, a silenced rifle, a dagger, throwing knives, poison, many wigs and makeup, rope, a climbing kit, a pistol and a pair of sabres. Owns a little tailor shop, with a second floor where her quarters lie and a hidden basement where she keeps her workshop as an assassin. This basement has a hidden exit into the alley behind her shop.

So, does no one want to make a Talru-less character to partner with Carmilla?

@KSPAM - I'm on it, will have something (hopefully) cohesive up tomorrow. Still interested in having a PC partnered with her.

For clarification on Primrose - the assumption is correct, that the requirements for using it are gracefulness and strong spirit. Will edit that to make it more clear.

• Name: Joan Sigurd.
• Age: 14 when she found the Talru, 18 presently.
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: "I won't let the same thing happen again...!"◊
• Goal/Motive: Joan's main motivation is revenge against the Akararn's Military for what they did to her family.
• Personality: Joan has a heavy dose of self-loathing considering that she was the one responsible for the destruction of her entire family. She fights against the Akararn's Military with her Talru, Soulbrandt, in order to feed it and acquire more power. On the outside she can come off as cold but she's really just lonely. In private, she can be caring, curtious and accepting of everyone. It's just the cold exterior doesn't help her make friends is the problem.
• Bio/History: Joan was once a noble girl in a well-to-do family. Joan's father Zigmiel was a man who supported the NRK rather than Akararn's Military. This was a hidden affair only between the family. Zigmiel sent supplies and funding the revolutionaries in an attempt to help them. Joan, believing that his was something that was wrong actually let the information slip out. The result of this was the burning of the family house and the slaughter of everyone in it. Zigmiel's last words to Joan was to "Find it... find our Talru, Joan." Her father told her the location. It was in a secret passage way in the hall to her father's quarters. She pressed the stone, went down stairs to avoid the burning fire and she found it. A 'forged' arm from a powerful Crisis Fiend now known as Soulbrandt. Joan placed it on her right arm and it stuck. It was now bonded to her. Joan was scared at first but the hand actually soothed her, telling her everything was going to be okay. The eye began to glow and all was history. What remained was a pile of lifeless corpses as Soulbrandt fed. In the present day, Joan works as a mercenary to make a living. She takes jobs with the NRK to supplement her quest for vengeance.
• Talru:
  • Name: Soulbrandt
  • Creation: Created from the body of an Omega Class Crisis Fiend that was known for absorbing and devouring the souls of countless citizens.
  • Type: Weapon
  • Required Compatibility: Be willing to feed Soulbrandt what it requires in exchange for its power. Souls. Not excessive feeding, just one or two souls a week!
  • Appearance: A clawed glove with a living eyeball on the back. Seems like it's made of some type of material, perhaps the skin of the Crisis Fiend that it was made from?
  • Main Ability:
    • Souleater: To devour the souls that have fallen by Soulbrandt's hand. The more souls it has, the stronger it becomes. It amplifies Jeanne's strength well beyond that of a human (only for the hand that Soulbrandt has taken) For the latter to be preformed, 1 soul has to be taken up from the Soulbrandt. It has a stockpile of around twenty already and pushing beyond that will probably cause the arm to do some.. irreversible damage to Joan's psyche. Spend one soul for a temporary boost in strength.
  • Hidden Ability:
    • Crossingblade: Soulbrandt exhibits dark energy from the eye on its back. The energy can be molded into a shield, a larger claw to deal more damage from range and even projectile fireballs. There really isn't a limit to the kind of weapons that can be made with this ability. However, it does take souls and once it burns through those souls, it goes for Joan's own. It's a trump card ability and not something to be used lightly.
  • How did your character obtain their Talru?: Found in the family's old cellar as a last ditch effort.
• Assets: The money she's made from her new lifestyle (it's not A LOT but it's enough to get by), a house she lodges in (it's not fancy).

Second character, intended to be a non-Tarlu person for KSPAM's Carmilla.

Name: Lucia Bleumer Age: 25

Gender: Female

Appearance: In her now-discarded maid's uniform.◊

Personality: Usually calm and logical in her dealings with others; she tends to be pragmatic, but has fits of naive optimism that defy logic when she believes she has a good idea. Is secretly quite passionate about what she does and tries hard to do her best to achieve desirable results. When she falls short she tends to take it out on others rather than blame herself. Slow to trust but loyal to a fault for those who gain it. Prides herself on being able to deadpan any statement imaginable. Has a questionable sense of morals compared to the mainstream, and will rationalize equally questionable methods by saying, "If you can do it, do it."

Bio/History: Lucia Bleumer was at one time just another trusted maidservant to a noble household. She was known only to be a reliable young lady who kept things clean and helped the ladies get dressed. In the meantime she was secretly purloining small valuables to sell on the black market. For her it was completely justifiable when you considered that the nobles were all robbing the common man for their own well being.

Oddly she wasn't forced to change careers over her thievery, but because her sister was involved in anti-government activities. They looked enough alike that Lucia was accused of making speeches and writing pamphlets calling for the overthrow of the government and aristocracy. Finding the thought of arrest and likely execution rather unsuitable, Lucia stole a few final big-ticket trinkets and ran. In the process of moving from town to town she's changed jobs more than a few times.

Originally uninterested in her sister's cause she eventually has come around to the idea in a way. She really despises the aristocracy in nearly any form, due in large part to how they treat all beneath them as tools or worse. Any legitimacy they may have had as rulers is long gone; she now actually writes tracts like those her sister was eventually arrested for. Despite her new motivations she still doesn't mind making a fast buck or two in the process of bigger things. But there's only so many things a maid-turned-thief can do to fight 'the Man'... perhaps, she's begun to think, an all or two may be in order..

Assets: What funds she can keep on her person, a ragged notebook with rough drafts of her writings, a bland looking rucksack and a small network of similar-thinking contacts. Also has Carmilla, but that's an entirely different subject.

• Name: Zachaia "Chaia" Elmsdotter
• Age: 17
• Gender: female
• Appearance/Description: Chaia is a very lovely young woman with long black hair down to the shoulders, she is athletically built, and is, ahem, average in the asset department. She usually wears a black top jacket, a sleeveless shirt of sorts underneath, a skirt, and long black socks and boots. She has dark blue eyes, and a confident stance at almost all times.
• Personality: Despite being a daughter of nobility, Zachaia is actually a rather upbeat and somewhat Rebellious Princess type on certain occasions and depending on the issue, though she can be Obliviously Evil, not knowing if something she asks for or demands might result in something bad happening to someone else. She is staunchly on the side of the Kingdom, but only because her father is. She seems to have a very friendly relationship with both her brothers, who are soldiers in the Kingdom. She is still coming into her own mentality and opinions, though she can, occasionally, be quite The Vamp. However, there are hints she might be taking a dark path...
• Goals/Motive: At this point, she just wants to see that her family remains safe. However, she also wants to see to it that her own goals and plans are fulfilled, though she's still learning how to go about that.
• Bio/History: Zachaia was born the daughter of the sadistic noble Kerric Elmsdotter, though she has never seen his sadistic side, as he truly does love his little daughter. Her high ranking soldier brothers Jaren and Daine are her most precious people, to the extent that hurting them is a major Berserk Button. Zachaia is a rather well known person, for her beauty...and somewhat lack of sense in certain issues.
• Talru:
• Name: Anastasis
• Creation: It was created from an Omega Class Crisis Fiend called Naraka. This one's abilities have strongly influenced the Talru made from his body.
• Type: Support/ Utility.
• Required Compatibility: A desire for one's goals to be accomplished, costs be damned. A "dark" personality. (that last one causes Zachaia some angst.)
• Appearance: By all counts, Anastasis is one of the strangest looking ones. It is apparently a jewel bracelet fused on to Zachaia's arm, though she can take it off somehow.
• Main Ability: Anastasis is a Shapeshifting Talru, in that it lets Zachaia change her form, rather like a shapeshifter, which means she can assume stronger forms or repair damage. However, after shapeshifting to a nasty combat form, she usually ends up exhausted and fatigue is a common result.
• Hidden Ability: Anastasis has a very, very well hidden ability. It is currently not known to Zachaia that she can even do this. It is called Daemon Heart. It lets her absorb materials that are lying around, and add on to her One-Winged Angel's.
• How did your character obtain their Talru?: She bought it from a very shady merchant. She thought it was gaudy and rather unimpressive at the time due to how pricey it had been, keeping her out of money until her next allowance.
• Assets: She has money connected to her noble heritage, but not as much as you'd think, given her father is trying to train frugality into her.

No one is bullying anyone. I genuinely believe that the character is over-powered.

I kinda agree. The only problem is absorbing Crisis Fiends' abilities because Omega Fiends are absolutely Game Breakers.

I'm planning to participate on this RP, but I'm having issues with making my char too OP or making him weak and pathetic. Damn this dilemma. >:

Not really such a thing as Underpowered if you have ingenuity and gritty determination! For reference, please refer to Old Man Henderson and Alphonse Kapown.

And I suppose you all only paid attention to what the ability said, and not what came before the description of what it did.

But, fine, I introduced a limitation.

I'm getting real tired of this victim complex you seem to be developing, Nick. The world is not out to "keep you down", or anything like that. We're not calling you out because we dislike you, we're calling you out because it's OP as shit. If you like though, you could keep submitting stupid ideas like this and then whine about how life is unfair and everyone hates you, because then we will start to kick you out of R Ps because we dislike you.

Everyone, while there is a certain degree of helpfulness in player input, at this point let us leave it up to Aevum whenever she accepts of denies Nick's character and abilities.

Um, the above dispute above, does Lucia look okay to you KSPAM? Since she'd be paired with Carmilla and all.

Lets get MY character on the road hmmm? This has been taking a long time but here goes!

• Name: Icarus Doreiku
• Age: 14
• Gender: Female (Despite the name)
• Apperance: [1]

• Goal/Motive: to see her parents again.

• Personality: Quiet, introverted and shy, Icarus isn't the one to say much to anyone; this means that any problems that she has are usually kept pent up inside which means anger, annoyance, despair and fear are all kelp inside her like a water in a kettle. Despite all these things Icarus is not the one to rely on anyone for anything nor the one that needs looking after- she rather dislikes being babysitted but this was never really a problem due to her current predicament. If however someone befreinds her they will discover that she can be quite the chatter box and also an eternal optimist, unfortunately this has never happened.

• Bio/ History: Born into a prominent family of Western Marauders, Icaraus enjoyed a rather pleasant early childhood though pleasant here is a relative term; this was all tipped upside down when their village was attacked by the Akaran military for a daring raid earlier that week. Thus Icarus along with those that did not get killed were carried off as plunder with herself getting sold into slavery; and there she has stayed since she was 6 years old. Right now she is Still a slave (Though that may change very very soon) and helps as an assistant due to her young age. The situation is being complicated by one of the boys in the household who has taken a liking to her and though this means she gets treated slightly better than most others it also entails constant harassment.

• Talru:

• Name: Ginryo
• Creation: Created by a Crysis fiend being sealed into a mystical stone, in this case a ruby.
• Type: Biological
• Required compatibility: Bloodline inheritance
• Appearnce: Activated: A silver dragon with blood red eyes and large crystaline wings. Its claws seem to be covered in diamond and it was a large red stone on its back.

Dormant: A large ruby melded into the skin above Icarus' belly button.

• Main ability: The Talru transforms its user into the crysis fiend known as Ginryo- in dragon form the user can fly and breaths fire with the colour of the flame differing dependant on what emotion was used to activate the Talru.

• Hidden ability: the stronger the emotion the hotter the flame.

For the most part, I actually like Chaia. The only problems that I see, are with her Talru.

The Main Ability is okay, however, I would like there to be a great amount of fatigue/exhaustion whenever she uses it, since the ability to assume stronger forms and repair the damage can be abused; however, adding the fatigue bit solves that problem.

As for the Hidden Ability... I'm sorry, Nick, but I'm not comfortable with the idea of a Talru absorbing Crisis Fiends in general. I'm sorry to ask this, but can you rework a new hidden ability for her? >.<

No Bloodline Required Compatibility, sorry. And as stated with Chaia, I'm not comfortable with a Talru being capable of turning their user into, or absorbing aspects of a Crisis Fiend.

Also, Biological Talru are not embed into the character/user; they are separate entities that are similar to a familiar. Biological Familiars are basically like the Servant/Master system of the Fate Stay Night series The Ginryo would be more of a utility/support type Talru than anything else.
