I just recently found out about this show through TV tropes, looked it up on wikipedia, and decided to give it a try. At first, I found the story poorly constructed and most of the characters unlikeable (like the two stereotypes the main character calls his best friends). There were parts that I couldn't help but grimace at and even more where my Willing Suspension of Disbelief simply... snapped. Still, I couldn't help but want to find out what happened next, so I kept watching.

I can't remember how many episodes it took, but I eventually realized something about the show. Something that made it infinitely more enjoyable than it has any right to be. The entire plot is like something ripped right out of a Point-And-Click Adventure Game! Seriously, just look at Principal Barrage! From the basic design to the way he walks, doesn't he strike you as someone who could fit right in in an Escape From Monkey Island game? As soon as I realized this, the logic behind the writers made a whole lot more sense. I found myself enjoying the mystery part of the show as well. The overarching plot does make a sort of... twisted sense as it's revealed bit by bit. It also helped that there were at least a couple characters I liked and could actually root for.

Hmm... I suddenly have a need to go replay all of the Escape From Monkey Island games now... >_>

You're pretty impressive for watching something initially so "awful" until it became "good."

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
