Soo, no more opinions on Fingerless Gloves? It's been over a week since we had actual discussion on it. I guess its ok to start drafting out the crowner now if there isn't anymore feedback? Although the only option I can think of is disambiguation.

Splitting meaningful uses off to their own tropes should also be on the crowner.

I think that kinda goes hand in hand with disambiging, since thus far there's nothing to disambig this with.

So single prop is the way to go it seems.

• Split off some of the Fingerless Gloves sub-types into their own pages and then turn FG into a disambiguation.

Sure.

Double post because I made the proposed crowner. I went with Page Action instead of Single Proposition in case any other ideas come up (though I can't think of anything else myself).

Has anyone posted an ATT bulletin for this crowner? It's been at 13 yeas and no nays for a while, and while that's unanimous, I think we need more votes.

Edit: It's been an hour since I first posted it and the vote count is the same, so my indirect bump didn't bring any attention to the crowner. Then again, it's a weekend.

So what subtypes should we split out of this? Maybe just Poverty and the Cool/Tough subtypes. Dunno about the others.

Those two can definitely be split off.

I can't think of any other splits, and if we find others there's no reason we can't add them to the disambig later.

So in poking around the Fire Emblem pages, I've noticed a lot of ZC Es for Does Not Like Shoes. They read basically "this character doesn't have shoes on" or "this character... is in sandals." Although in FE specifically most barefoot characters are dancers (which is probably the context to add), they generally don't have the "this character is not wearing shoes in a way that has a reason or demonstrates a personality trait" that would make it a proper example.

A look at the actual trope page just for video games has a boatload of examples that basically just go "Jane Smith in Fighting Game doesn't have shoes on." Not to mention there are some examples that are rather fetishy ("three extremely attractive ladies in Dissidia", really?). This seems like it's in need of a cleanup.

I think Does Not Like Shoes should be a personality trope, not an appearance trope. That is, it should be about people who really don't like to wear shoes (perhaps they grew up in a culture where shoes don't exist, perhaps they're a polymorphed animal, perhaps they've got very sensitive feet), and not just about people who happen to be barefoot.
