Still, I'd rather have people who are actually influential to the video game industry be the hosts.

A few voice roles doesn't make someone very influential in the gaming industry.

He's only there because he's a celebrity, that is it.

Anyway, anyone worth their salt in the games business knows that the Game Developers Choice Awards are the real Oscars of the industry, even if they don't have Oscar-level press.

Oh god no, not again. The rectal ravaging that fucking /v/GA show generated was immense. I won't be able to go onto /v/ for a week after it airs without hearing /v/ tear itself apart. I already know how it's gonna go this time. Walking Dead and/or fucking Katawa Shoujo will win everything and then people will get mad because those are technically visual novels and then I get mad because I can't talk about fucking Morrowind, Dark Souls, and Dragon's Dogma.

Dont forget the massive "REDDIT RIGGED THE VOTE" influx (even though /v/ and reddit are one in the same now)

Well that, and the Valve fanboys who think everything Gabe and friends make is the bee's platinum and jewel encrusted knees.
