+1 to trim or cut the caption completely pending a new pic showing up.
Wow, that's hideously long. I mean, I'm familiar enough with Asterix to recognize the spiel, but did we really need the whole thing?
Moon◊Wow, that's way too long. I like Asterix and I still think that's bad.
I think all text on that page should be cut down to size.
Check out my fanfiction!Suggestion:
"The year is 50 B.C. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely..." Yes, entirely.
That's much better.
I personally think we should just change it to something that more people would recognise as Alternate History, like a map of Europe where Germany won World War II.
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.I agree.
Except 1 is confusing (what do the yellow and red boxes mean?) and 2 is FAR too messy.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWe could crop 1 to just the part with the swastikas and rising sun.
I think the suggestion in #6 should be implemented immediately, but possibly the image (and caption) should be replaced altogether.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I don't know why anyone thought that a caption for an image that's half the size of said image was a good idea.
Yeah, image needs replacing. One village isn't really that big a difference.
something[1]◊
It can even link to The Man in the High Castle.

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I like the suggestions in 11 and 12.
I also really like 15 as an alternative to 11.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat's a great idea, although the pic's a little messy quality-wise.

I was never big on Sliders, but my parents were, back in the mid-'90s or so. One of the worlds they ended up slipping to stuck with me pretty well, despite never thoroughly watching the episode in question - they visited a world where Britain won the Revolutionary War, represented by the US flag with the Union Jack in the corner instead of the stars. Pretty telling imagery.
Only problem is, no images of it exist on Google Images. A normal Google search revealed the episode's name is "The Prince of Wails", though; I might sit down at some point and try to get a grab, provided my memory's not playing tricks on me.
EDIT: It wasn't.◊ Took a while to find a good site with screen captures, though.
Could also go with a newspaper◊, but I think the actual flag's stronger.

Moon◊I say pull it altogether. The image is already on Undefeatable Little Village.
"@[=g3,8d]&fbb=-q]/hk%fg"Might I suggest this◊. It's the poster of an Alternate History DLC for Assassins Creed III
Hey, that's not bad.
How about this?

Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.Is that from anything?
Oh, okay...couldn't look at the original link. It works for me.

It's from the Assassin's Creed DLC, as noted above.
Halper's Law: as the length of an online discussion of minority groups increases, the probability of "SJW" or variations being used = 1.Do we have enough for a crowner?
The caption for Alternate History is waaaayyy too long. Look at it:
Also, Asterix really isn't what most people think of when they think of Alternate History. May I suggest something from Harry Turtledove`s TL-191, or a Nazi Victory mapÉ
