The four refers to Tatumi, Akame, Leone, and Najenda. Mine being removed from that group means she's been written out of the story. Still, at least she survived, unlike the anime.

We don't know if it's completely the same regarding Budo or not.

That sure looked like Tatsumi saying goodbye to her on her deathbed.

Tell that to Frozen Wolf. He's the one who first said she survived. I highly doubt Tatumi would be that low-key at the prospect of her death, especially compared to the anime. Even if it's just the raw, Mine at least looks more alive than dead.

Why would they have the corpse in a room all to herself, while also having Tatsumi narrating that the revolution army is about to encircle the capital since there is clear time passage since the Empire is in panic mode with Budo dead and Esdeath having survived but beaten. Mine has been left Blind -Clear eyes-, basically bedridden and when she is responsive... She doesn't know who anyone is. atleast thats what people who can read korean say is the gist of it. Basically Mine has been effectively written out of the story.

Anyway, yeah, Mine is alive, but blind and cannot fight anymore. I would say she's hard headed enough to keep fighting anyway, but that subtitle excluding her from Night Raid pretty much says no to that. I'm a bit worried that Leone will die next.

This is a rather unique case of Defeating the Undefeatable. Esdeath not only has a scar, she actually lost. However, it isn't the end at all because she survived, and you know damn well that she's gonna get stronger after this. Her defeat was not the end all be all like the typical execution of the trope has it.

Anywho, yea Budo went out like the anime but at least he put up a damn good fight and it was clear that it was not an easy victory. Mein had to cripple herself out of the story and we still don't know the implications of Tat's merger with Incursio. And Leone and Akame are beaten pretty badly.

Yea, it definitely looks like we're reaching a climax. Esedeath being defeated means that all of Night Raid are going to be considered priority 1, the implications being that if they can defeat the empire's strongest, they must be terrifying people. It's both awesome and tension building in a way.

And we still don't have the chapter fully translated yet. >.<

This is effectively a draw for both Night Raid and the Empire. Budo is dead, so the rebels now presumably control his fortress (the last line of defense for the capitol), and the capitol is about to be surrounded. Esdeath is scarred in the gut and finally lost a fight, but Mine has been blinded, Akame and Leone were wrecked, and Tatsumi may be incredibly powerful, but his power-up is incredibly flawed; he could end up merging with Incursio entirely.

Like I said before, I did say I wanted to know what would happen if Esdeath lost, and I got it in this chapter, although the direct aftermath of said loss is something we haven't seen yet. While on that note, Esdeath losing is actually a pretty good storytelling mechanic. Like Mine, she's been written out of the story temporarily, so the next few chapters can focus on, say, Akame vs Kurome at last.

It's really scary when you think about how strong Icursio can be...I mean, he beat Esedeath in one punch. One. Punch. And the insane part is that Tyrant can still grow and evolve to whatever it needs to survive....it really is Dragon Install.

Esdeath herself can still grow and evolve, and has grown and evolved already. Her Time Freeze was a new trick she developed only recently, and specifically for Tatsumi, for example.

Hell, we still haven't seen her "Ice Army" thing that she teased last chapter. She may have lost, but she's coming back, easily. Granted, I'd love to see the sheer hilarity in Esdeath declaring her allegiance to Tatsumi for the lulz XD

What I'm worried about is the possibility that Tyrant Incursio ends up going all Hollow Ichigo on Tatsumi.

It's more than likely; since the Anime clearly foreshadowed some things, I don't see Tatsumi making it back to Mein. Either death by sacrificing himself to save someone, death by Tyrant taking him over and turning his body into mush, or death by poison.

Leone and Kurome will probably go out the same way tho.

I wonder what's going on with mangastream. I hope they didn't drop the series or something. I wonder if Mine will recover and make a grand re-entrance in the final battle, or maybe she'll recover after it's all over and and up being one of the only survivors of night raid. Those are the only reasons I can think of to keep her alive but in a coma, aside from simply trying to make the manga different than the anime.

It seems that the manga is taking a slightly different path than the anime. Hopefully the differences keep adding up so that the manga has a completely different ending.

I hope Leone gets a different death in the manga. That's the one thing I most want to be different in the manga than in the anime. That and the stupid giant robot crap.

Leone getting killed by the Prime Minister? I hope not. The anime executed that one really badly, as I detailed at length several times over when it first happened.

We all know Kurome will lose to Akame; Chelsea completely wrecked her and Run is really the only reliable puppet she has left. It is inevitable; Akame will fight, beat, and kill her sister.

I still say Najenda will die, because she's running on a short fuse without Susanoo already, but the only person I see killing her is Esdeath. Unless, you know, Izou decides to be an asshole and kills her just after killing Lubbock.

As for Tatsumi, well, I really doubt the Emperor is gonna jump into his Gundam Suit in the manga, which is what killed Tatsumi in the anime. I think it's likelier for Tatsumi to lose his sanity as Tyrant Incursio and possibly get killed by power overdose, Akame, Mine, or Esdeath herself.

Let's see:

Empire: Izou, Esedeath, Kurome, Wave and...the loli vampire who's name I can't remember

Night Raid: Tatsumi, Akame, Najenda, and Leone.

hmm....Akame is definitely going to take on her sister. I can see Najenda fighting to avenge Lubbac or some shit. Wave and Leone? And I can definitely see the final fight being between Esedeath and Tatsumi.

Kurome still has Nataru

Dorethea -Dorothy- and she is modifying Cosmina into something and Honest asked for something as well

Most likely Akame's Trump card is basically the same as the Anime -cept instead of surviving it, It will kill her since thats the gamble when you use it-

We have Honest, Makoto, Esdeath, Dorothea, Kurome, Izou, and Wave. Like Wolf said (according to his Korean translators), Cosmina is being modified, so she'll return (please don't kill Leone), and Honest may end up with a Teigu himself (please don't let it be the Gundam Suit).

Not a whole lotta villains left, especially since Esdeath is currently out of commission, but her defeat and Budo's death opens up the long-awaited duel between Akame and Kurome by next chapter or two. Whatever Honest and Cosmina got from Dorothea will also be key.

As for the Final Boss? I still say Esdeath, and it will be against both Tatsumi and Akame, I will say.

but Wave vs Tatsumi for real has to happen So Grand Chariot and Incursio can merge to together into one whole

Wave vs Tatsumi? I completely forgot about that, actually. That could be what we'll get - Wave and Kurome vs Tatsumi and Akame in the next chapter or two, but Incursio and Grand Chariot merging? That's unlikely.

Yea, that's what I was thinking too, Tats and Akame vs. Esedeath; since that's too obvious of a stomp, I can see Incursio being some type of Deadly Upgrade; if Tats continues to overuse it, its going to take him over and destroy his sanity.

And the drama comes from...well Tatsumi is kind of shit without Incursio and Esedeath is going to want Tats at his best.

Akame's trump card, if it's used, I can see possibly being saved for Kurome. She's nerfed, but not as much as she was in the Anime.

Esdeath could just as easily power-up herself, mind. There is no way one punch will beat her next time they fight - that'd be too anti-climactic. Tyrant Incursio is almost certainly a Deadly Upgrade that won't bode well for Tatsumi's health, whether physically or mentally.

Also, WHERE THE FUCK IS THE CHAPTER, MANGASTREAM!!!

They could be behind schedule due to the flu. I just saw a post from yesterday on mangastream's facebook page mentioning they had the flu recently.

When you said "Incursio and Grand Chariot merge", I totally imagined them stopping the fight, remove themselves from the wearers, and start a forever-mind-scarring 24-hour dragon mating dance. Anyway. Takahiro came up with the idea of the Pseudo-Psycho-Gundam and the manga artist approved of it. They are both Gundam Universal Century fans.
