Huh, episode 14 aired. Esdeath's backstory and all. When she mentions how she held no ill will to the northerners for killing her family, and rationalized it as "Hey, like my father said about my mother, they lost because they were weaker, and my decimation of them was mainly because it's my job."
Now, she says that, yet I noticed she holds a completely different standard for her subordinates. As Syura knows firsthand, if you fuck with her subordinates, you are fucked. Hmmm, A Mother to Her Men indeed.
I say again - I really wanna know what'll happen if she just loses. Would she be all "Welp, then I was simply weaker"? Would she undergo a Villainous Breakdown? Would she, like, kill herself? Is Akame's trump card, like, a blood-draining thing that'll deprive Esdeath of her ice? I found it interesting that she "tamed" the evil demon's blood; maybe Akame's trump card can force it out so she has a Superpower Meltdown?
I'm really intrigued by the prospect of her losing. I seriously wonder if Esdeath would actually rather be killed by Tatsumi than to kill Tatsumi herself - she is a Love Freak, after all. Can't wait for more from the manga. It'll be released on the 21st or 22nd of this month?

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I did notice that in the latest chapter, rather than raging, she seemed more reluctant to send Tatsumi off to be executed. Wonder what this is implying.
The Demoness' heart grew three sizes that moment?
She finally knows what there is to know about the crying game?
She just set her death flag to full mast and she knows it.
At full mast? Hardly. Najenda set her death flag after saying she wanted to patch things up with Lubbock. And then Lubbock died first. I don't think the death flag is worth talking about regarding Esdeath or Tatsumi.
You can argue over whether or not she set her death flag, but last I checked, Lubbock had no death flags and he was killed after accomplishing his single greatest moment ever. Hell, Mine outright defied her death flags by murderizing Seryu. And no, she's not sad that her "death flag" has been raised - that's too meta.
The reason she's sad, the reason she's reluctant, is because she still loves Tatsumi. Just as how he declared to kill her when he realized he couldn't convince her to change, she declared to kill him when she realized he wouldn't change either.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl. This series throws around death flags like candy, it's hard to make judgements based on that.

Just started watching this today. Why's it called Akame ga Kill if the main character is Tatsumi?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Because this show is made of stupid.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialSheele really reminds me of Sarah Jerand from Star Ocean: The Last Hope
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Hey, if the title Legend Of Zelda didn't annoy too many people,.......
It's because Akame kills a lot in this manga, silly.
Wouldn't be the first instance of this in Anime either.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. When is the next chapter gonna be released? On the 21st or 22nd?
By the way, in light of the next episode, I've always felt Chelsea and Susano'o shouldn't have died so quickly.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I was expecting something like this, you can upgrade Teigu apparently as long as you have ultra class monster parts to incorporate

Nice. That makes sense.
So, I found a link to all of the raw pages to the chapter. This is the last page, but you can view all of 'em by clicking through.
Short summary, just based on the visuals, is that Mine comes in to save Tatsumi, and I'm guessing Esdeath learns that she is Tatsumi's girlfriend, but other than surprise, Esdeath doesn't seem to really care. Mine is so strong now that she overpowered General Budo.
So here it is, Mine vs Esdeath. There are five possible outcomes: the fight gets interrupted, Esdeath wins (and kills Mine), Mine wins and kills Esdeath, Mine wins and Esdeath lives, or Mine is a distraction (Night Raid not being there is suspicious).

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Wow... just wow.
I never seen such a sharp drop in one chapter. This is some Fairy Tail level bullshit. I'm quite honestly this close to just dropping this manga and never looking back.
I've been trying to remain neutral on Mein, but after this chapter there's no way around it: she's a cancer that's killing the manga. If she doesn't die here, I see no hope for the series.
Man, fuck this chapter.
What the hell is up with you? Mine being a badass is totally within character.
She has a ton of Plot Armor due to being Tatsumi's girlfriend. If she beats Esdeath, well, that's the only thing anybody will ever remember about Esdeath and Mine, but it's not like I'll be surprised. If Mine dies, well, there's that, but I don't think it'll happen, nor do I want it to happen. I'd rather both live.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I love how this is pretty much the turning point for a lot readers. It's glorious.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.People on the forums are already saying "So much for the empire's strongest." Like, Budo, I get, but Esdeath? Nothing happened to her, yet people are acting as if she's as overhyped as Budo now. Do people just really hate Mine?

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl. What Mine getting an upgrade through a sudden shoehorn element, IE using Danger beast parts to upgrade Teigu and apply elements... its really no worse then Kurome being a junkie makes her immune to poison or Esdeath stopping ****ing time cause she didn't want Tastumi to ever run away from her,All this has done is finally bridged the nonsensical gap the author has written to make it to where the empire can stay in charge cause its Aces are practically Demigods. This had to happen sooner or later.
Bulat was once said to be as strong as Esdeath, and Najenda is only at 40% of her original strength due to her loss of an arm.
Granted, if Esdeath ever starts losing, all she has to do is freeze time, and voila. So is the author gonna forget about that for the sake of having Mine win? Maybe, maybe not.
All I know is that Akame said she will kill Esdeath, not Mine. That lets me know Mine will either lose or the fight will get interrupted.
