*before reading* So, it's like DM Of The Rings?
edit: yes it is, and oh hey I've actually seen this before.

I have a message from another time...Ah, this. I have to catch up.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0The funny thing about the Campaign Comics I've seen (including this one) is that all of them claim Darths & Droids as their main inspiration, and most don't even mention DM of the Rings.
So if you told them "I love your webcomic, it's just like DM of the Rings!", they'd probably ask "What is that?"

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I like it. It's pretty funny. I don't get some of the jokes, since I haven't played that many games, but I still understand the bulk of them.
I'd say Phil is more of a butt-monkey, especially considering how much Usopp suffers in his fights (4 ton bat to the face and all that).

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.A bit unreasonable to claim he's a Butt-Monkey for something that hasn't happened yet...
Anyway, new strip. Natural 20, go!
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I'd say Phil's the bigger buttmonkey and considering Usopp's role throughout the series he's likely to stay that way.
There was a time in my life I had dignity, a time before the giant monster corgi.Guess what? Guns Are Worthless.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)And Draths & Droids and Friendship Is Dragons and oh #&@ this concept is the new sprite comics.
Could somebody explained what happened in the newest comic? I don't understand why DM stopped voicing Kuro, or how a flaw of the character got exploited, or why someone is blacking out.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.My guess: Kuro/Kurahadol has some sort of split personality flaw built into the character. Apparently being a monk (with associated feats) allows Will saves (to prevent the alter ego from taking over) to be normally made without any trouble, but the GM has found a way to knock the Will stat low enough that he can't make the save.
The "blacking out" bit is the Kurahadol personality taking a nap, while Kuro takes over.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Ye who deny Luke's mastery of grappling rules, ye shall know despair...

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I just started, and this is the most hilarious thing I've seen in a while. Literally every page has me chuckling like an idiot.
Unfortunately, I can't read any more because they website's crapped out on me. This happen to anyone else, or is it just on my end?
I've gotten some pop-up ads, but my awful computer stops them from even loading.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.EDIT: Y'know what? Never mind. Ignore.

Coming soon to a TV network near you: When Ninja Kids Attack!
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Still not as impressive as Ninja Sasquatch.
So yeah, reading through this, and I'm amazed at the little character arc Phil's getting and how closely it resembles Usopp's. Very nice.
And seriously. Laughing at every page. It helps that the images chosen work amazingly well with what's said.

First time I read one of these comics(Campaign Comics I mean) and I'm finding it awesome so far
One turn to choose your fate...
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Hmm, let me try to see if I can get an actual conversation going.
A thought occurred to me while I was reading this. We've got Baratie coming up, which brings the first appearance of Mihawk and the first mention of the Seven Warlords. How do you guys think the DM, and by extension the rest of the crew, will handle it?

Ya know, if grappling is so complicated, does anyone actually do it?
Mihawk is an extremely important, high level npc and GM has put hours into a detailed campaign with him providing the plot and quests. Cory attacks Mihawk because he's pissed at GM for something else or because he thinks there's great loot and experience and doesn't realize that GM has made Mihawk a ridiculous strong character sheet. GM briefly gets annoyed and has Mihawk humiliate Cory, but then decides to stop being an asshole when Cory starts acting in-character or breaks down emotionally for unrelated reasons.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Pretty sure that when Cory hijacked Zoro's name to attach to his character, the GM told him he'd allow it, but he'd HAVE to play out the story he had planned for him no matter what. Mihawk may tie into that somehow.
Personally, I'm curious to see who'll end up playing Sanji. Or the others, for that matter, but that's quite some ways down the line...
Alrighty, a thread for the fun little Campaign Comic known as One Piece: Grand Line 3.5. Basically, for those who don't know what that is, it's the manga/anime One Piece, treated as a D&D roleplaying game.
First page is here, latest page is here, etc.
So, first question: who's the bigger Butt-Monkey: Phil or Cory?
