I kinda see what you're going for, but at the same time it's not really clicking with me.

I don't think decontructions tend to make for good images. They're misleading as to what the trope actually is, played straight.
Also, I don't see what the visuals add to the text.
Check out my fanfiction!Agree with Duck. The pic relies so heavily on the text that it might as well be JAFAAC.
How about one from the Wizard of Oz? (Or a DS game based on it.)
Not the trope, unfortunately, cuz I like the pic.
After havin gone back and read the page, I actually like the text of the OP suggestion as the page quote instead of the One Piece quote.

I do agree it'd make a better quote than the current one.
How so? Many know that the titular character was a fake and the brains/courage/heart he handed out were fake (the three tag-alongs refused to accept It Was with You All Along).
"You don't need them. You are learning something every day. A baby has brains, but it doesn't know much. Experience is the only thing that brings knowledge, and the longer you are on earth the more experience you are sure to get."
"That may all be true," said the Scarecrow, "but I shall be very unhappy unless you give me brains."
The false Wizard looked at him carefully.
I thought having a picture of the "during" part of a journey, before reaching a less-than-ideal end might be fitting. Which would be difficult if no one knew about the ending (or worse, spoilerish). It would still need a good caption, though.
Clock is set. I'm still favoring replacing the current quote with the dialogue from the OP.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
From the Oglaf of September 30, 2012, I thnk this could work well as a page image for It's the Journey That Counts: Lampshaded and Discussed in the first frame, Deconstructed in the second.
