Standard fantasy setting in turmoil + Macroeconomics
Lord Of The Rings meets Spice And Wolf. And it worked awsomely

Just went on a sampling spree.
I wasn't too interested in Maoyu, but the plot is interesting enough for me to continue. I'm also pretty shocked at the less-than-expected amounts of fanservice seeing how this was animated by Studio Arms and all... There's a shit-ton of Conspicuous CG.
Cuticle Detective Inaba... If you don't like the humor of Bobobobo Bobobo, you probably won't like this show. As a huge fan of aforementioned, I totally fell in love with it. HUGE Widget Series.
And I sampled some of the shorts this season too. Ai-Mai-Mi has the potential to be funny, but is way too cluttered. Mangirl actually has some pretty interesting insight on the manga industry. And the mountain climbing show wasn't too bad too.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker. This is why you listen when the people who've seen the source/other adaptations already tell you it's not that sort of show.

Heh, yeah. Well in my defense, I've been pretty out of it with pre-season coverage. I kind of just go in blind these days. ^_^;
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.I just watched Cuticle Detective Inaba.
......... and I don't think it's a good thing when subs really prevent you from following half of the Rapid-Fire Comedy. Seriously this show needs to go by at half the pace. Plus, the humor is so random and makes no sense that I'm actually thinking of dropping it. I guess the staff must've thought a handsome wolf boy with a keet personality would attract the ladies, but not being a lady, I can't explain why.

Puchimas: Adorable.
But yes, Puchimas is adorable.
Mangirl: Actually a rather fun Manga Editing 101 Lite. Emphasis on lite.
Waiting to see what subbers will pick up the other shows. I'm itching to watch Maoyuu already.
So I'm looking at some of the ealry reactions and reviews for Detective Inaba. Wow. I really do have a high tolerance for shit. XD
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.I just stated my opinion of that show.
Watched the first episode of Oreshura. Solid adaptation, so no complaints from me.
No, no, it's just that on the anime sites I frequent, most people don't seem to be reacting too well. Especially Anime News Network. Woo boy... ^_^;
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.I'm just amazed they manage to have any reaction beyond disbelief and confusion.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntWell to tell you the truth, I didn't like the first ep of Detective Inaba either.
I checked out Cuticle Detective Inaba out of curiosity. It was alright, I laughed at a lot of it, but there was too much of the characters screaming why the weird stuff going on was funny.
I tend to see the Don't Explain the Joke humor done A LOT in anime comedies, for some reason. I suppose it's funny if the character completely freaks out at it just because of the mood whiplash of it all, but other than that, it's completely unnecessary.
It's part of the whole Boke and Tsukkomi Routine that's a mainstay of Japanese humor. Very hit or miss, in my opinion.
Indeed. Sometimes it misses the point that brevity is wit.
Da Capo Pre-Air: Only watched the second half as the first half is about the songs of the previous seasons. The second half is an introduction, and, well, it looks quite generic, save for the last part which involves a magical cherry blossom tree and mysterious text messages.
Cuticle: Posted about it on its thread, but basically it has a lot of gags most of which I found to be at least amusing and I really like the crossdressing, police-hating, Inaba-worshipper, secret camera detector Assistant
Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi Shuraba Sugiru: Surprisingly good!
- Very respectable male lead. Studious, kind and personable. Cynical about love but has a very good reason for it. Plus he's a good cook. Also his rule 3 is hilarious.
- It's a harem rom com but... it gives off a more SOL vibe? Something like that. Has almost zero fanservice too.
- Finishing Move: Upwards Glance!
- Whoa, actual loser parents instead of them being dead.
- The princesslike beauty looks... normal. But she hates love too, so it's a perfect match! I like her manipulative side too. And now I'm sure I've read the manga before.
- I always like the "target of jealousy of all the males in class" schtick.
- Da-dan, the childhood friend finds out! Carnage next episode.
Maoyuu: Impressions on its thread but in summary: great. Awaiting the in-depth economics.
Can anyone here see Tamako Market becoming a Cash Cow Franchise?
This involves increased mochi sales or something?
I just want to know if TM will become popular to the point where it will get both a 2nd season and a movie.
I am hoping there's enough material on mochi for it to be classed as edutainment.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.
So Lu when are you going to read/watch Ouran or G Senjou no Maou?
