Why? It says that way more clearly if the whole page is there. The relevant part ("Duke Julius died!") would be legible even if it were half that size.

Not sure why there are only anime/manga suggestions so far, though. What about, like, Arnold Vosloo in The Mummy◊? Or more smirky and more psychotic? There are lots of examples on that page.

I'm okay with both 2 and 9. The lighting and distance in 11 mean I can barely see any smirk, let alone a psychotic one.

Looking though stuff on the page (yikes, X, Just...X, That Is All, Sinkhole Chaining, Zero Context Examples, Weblinks As Examples...), there's also Loki of Thor, Isard◊ of Star Wars if you can see her smirkiness properly, and Alex of A Clockwork Orange.

Alucard has quite a few smirks in this blog post.

And though someone over at the IP discussions thread brought up that there are too many TF 2 images, there's also Scout◊.

I like Imhotep if we can find a clearer image—he looks really good. Alucard looks good too.

I like the Loki one. Alex is also good, but it almost seems like a better example of Kubrick Stare.

I still prefer the current image. Why not just change the Memes.Death Note page image? There's tons of memes to choose from.

Just As Planned is pretty much the iconic Death Note meme, though. (...the four iconic Death Note memes, I think, actually.)

I think Loki is best so far. Alex's smirk is a little subtle combined with the Kubrick Stare, Griffith is too dark, and Gendo doesn't read as psychotic so much as Smug Snake.

Well, I think that image could just as easily be changed. I'm very happy with the current image.
