TBH I don't want to support the side that's a blantant Nazi/US parallel, but we are not getting the whole story.

Hm. Not a lot happening in the chapter, honestly.

So Kruger is not only the good guy, he is the original Rogue Titan. Marley see all Elodians as rodents to be driven out and practice some nasty nasty torture.

Also, for some reason having a cut to Eren and Mikasa doing time for military misconduct in the middle of all this is hilarious.

Anyway, I guess the next chapter will be Kruger and Grisha making their way to The Walls.

That's some crazy shit man.

That dude getting his face bit off by the Titan was pretty nasty. It's not often we see something beyond an arm or leg taken like that.

I mean, remember when we had Sasha's Dad just nibbling on some unfortunate schmuck?

Nope.

Slipped my mind.

Wait, Sasha's dad? Is that when she fought one with a bow & arrow? I thought she was rescued/found her father during that scene.

Sasha's dad is fine. That was just a titan who may or may not be Connie's dad.

My memory is fuzzy, but it was definitely someone's dad.

Aww, so Bert, Reiner, and Annie are all child soldiers, forced to infiltrate and destroy their own people, with their families presumably held as hostages?. Now I feel bad.

It was clear the situation was bad, but this makes it far worse.

When Armin finds out, he's gonna feel like crap.

That was Connie's dad I believe.

Or, like Zeke seemed to, they could very well believe the anti-Eldian propoganda.

Oh man, Grisha's wife's promise to find him sort of worked out...in the most terribly twisted way.

Also, I just wanted to say that Mikasa has the most amazing bed head.

Do you think Grisha knew which one did it?

I think that one was (too) funny to a point wherein I'm going to struggle to not laugh if I rewatch episode 1.

Kinda a reverse of "Funny Aneurysm" Moment.

I doubt even Zeke believes the propaganda at this point. My guess is that he's got his own plan.

He did tell Eren that Grisha had "brainwashed him" and that he wanted to "save him" from his influence. Even if he doesn't believe the Marley propaganda, he probably doesn't believe the Eldian propaganda either.

Of course, Eren wasn't brainwashed. In hindsight, it seems like the reason Grisha refused to tell Eren anything was specifically to keep from repeating his mistakes with Zeke, forcing his will on a child without asking his opinion on the matter.

Plus, the Three Warriors occasionally went on about how everyone living in the Walls was evil and needed to be punished. So I'm guessing that all the child soldiers, including Zeke, are still brainwashed. The Three Warriors are having trouble with it because they've spent time among the people, but they still follow orders.

although the way the first king referred to people in the walls as sinners, implies that the Marley story is true.

It implies some of it is potentially true. Not all.

One thing that came to my thoughts recently is the fact that, when you think on it, Eren basically has two Titan powers. The Rogue Titan (Kruger > Grisha > Eren) and the Founding Titan/Coordinate (Reiss daughter [forget her name] > Grisha > Eren).

I wonder if, because of that, there may be an arc where someone wants to assemble all the Titan Shifter powers into a single individual. I also wonder if doing so might somehow awaken the original Ymir Fritz.

Also it occurred to me that Eren is directly accessing Grisha's memories, something he couldn't do with the Reiss King's memories. Just a small detail of consistency since it's likely due to the shared bloodline between Eren & Grisha.

The idea of gathering all the Titan shifter powers together to recreate the original Ymir sounds like something out of Devil Survivor.

Aww, they ruined the title drop in the official translation.

Titans are literally unkillable. But since Eren have two powers, when he dies, does the power transfer separately or splits?

To be fair. It's because of how the Title was translated.

You must admit the name being the Attack on Titan would sound rather odd.
