For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

An important evening tonight as we reflect on and honor the talent and cinematic presence of one Bill Paxton (1955-2017).
In tribute, we've picked out the one standout title in his wide filmography distinguished by the sole fact that he both starred in and directed the movie. I'm talking, of course, about 2001's crime drama/thriller and certain Bold Letter Title Frailty.
Here unfolds the story of an FBI agent investigating a serial murder case (Powers Boothe) approached by a man (Matthew McConaughey) whose confession reveals of how his religious fanatic father (Paxton) becomes driven to commit a series of murders to destroy supposed "demons".
The official movie trailer is so fucking shit, though, that you're really better off just watching stand-alone clips such as this one showing Paxton totally in his element...

Is anyone here interested in possibly seeing Troma's A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell? From what I saw with my dad in the room checking it out too, it looks like a lot of good, trashy fun.
I wanna watch the other one you brought up. Viewer Discretion Advised.
Your choice. I'm intrigued enough by the Barbarian/Dinosaur one that I hope we get to it sometime.
I see we did a Spider-Man TV movie that had theatrical distribution called Spider-Man Strikes Back that got a two-star rating. Apparently, there was a preceding movie the year before just entitled Spider-Man released in 1977. And, well, just watch.
Get Out is the rare movie that perfectly blends horror and satire.
It uses race as... some kind of... metaphor?
Apparently, this was released recently...
EDIT: I found a bootleg of it on YouTube. According the reviews I found, it's an ultra-low budget horror film that turns into something resembling a Hieronymus Bosch painting.

somethingA movie that resembles his paintings could be a real trip. I'm interested.
Alright, we're kicking off with more episodes of Street Sharks and Gamesmaster.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, it's our special evening tribute to Bill Paxton: the fantastic crime thriller Frailty, co-starring Matthew McConaughey and Powers Boothe.

Gotta run out the door in a hurry.
Tonight, we got Troma's answer to The Kentucky Fried Movie and Amazon Women on the Moon ()—Viewer Discretion Advised.
All things considered, a sketch comedy movie is probably one of the most suitable outcomes with Troma's resources. Trailer muzak courtesy of a CD copy of Ramones Mania

I just finished watching Jessica Jones. I liked it, but since learning that a second season has been ordered, it makes me wonder what they could possibly do.
A big part of what made the show work was its main conflict: the villain Kilgrave mindcontrolling people to do what he wants, making him a massive and tricky threat to deal with. The show was as good as its hero, villain, and central conflict. I just can't imagine them coming up with a second central conflict as good as the first one.
Well, I reviewed Jessica Jones. It's my 250th review.
Just began setting up the playlist, and I have to publicly comment that this unfortunate man is NOT drunk. His back fell out of alignment, and that is serious. No one should be laughing.
Alright, we'll get the hoe bus on rollin'... oh, but watch out! It's *THAT* episode of Electra Elf & Fluffer, followed by another dose of video game nostalgia courtesy of Electric Playground.
Then, at the top of the coming hour... you didn't need a title to tell you THIS when you already know it's from Troma—Viewer Discretion Advised.

I am cracking up at this.
Tonight, we're revisiting a fun post-apocalyptic, swords-and-sorcery film from the wonderful world of Italy, where nothing compares to the IMDb and Wikipedia write-ups for a plot synopsis: Avi Nesher's She.
Ooooohhhh, this gonna be gud.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. It's alright. It has its moments. Got logged as a .
So this is more or less Red Sonja
War is God.If Red Sonja was set in a post-nuclear war wasteland, that would be more or less it.
Same actress, too.
War is God.It's no secret in this coven that I love kaiju movies, so may I suggest for a future showing, the insanity that is, The monster X Strikes Back: Attack the G8 Summit. Where else are we ever going to see the military fight kaiju using giant headphones?
Very, very sad and tragic news this afternoon. It has been reported that actor Bill Paxton—widely known for his appearances in films like Twister, Apollo 13, a whole bunch James Cameron titles such as The Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, and Titanic, and remembered here for his standout role in the vampire flick Near Dark () and minuscule "bit" appearances in Commando () and Streets of Fire () has unexpectedly passed away.
We will be running a movie tribute in the very near future.
