For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

I have a suggestion for a movie. Unfortunately I can't find a short clip of it that doesn't spoil it for anyone who doesn't know the spoiler already.
Here's the link to the full movie. It's a 1979 made for tv animated adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It was directed by Bill Melendez, responsible for many of the Peanuts specials and films. Not much stands out about it (especially compared to the 2005 film), but the villain is kind of hammy.
Nice to see another animation suggestion. We don't get enough of those, IMO. I skipped around in it and you're right about the villain being hammy.
If we watch (either) Narnia, I think it should be saved for a Sunday, in honor of the music video that originally put You Tube on the map: Lazy Sunday.

I don't see how the two connect. Epic Movie, perhaps?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Well, I'll give you one thing, Sean
you're pretty tall for a Leprechaun
War is God.Lazy Sunday was a music video by Saturday Night Live about people rapping about how they'd spend their Sunday, including going to the movies to see the first Chronicles of Narnia movie.
It was also the video that put You Tube on the map, as lots of people e-mailed each other and told each other about it, at a time when most people had never heard of You Tube before. That raised the site's popularity and pretty much was the spark that started the whole thing.

Okay, first up, right now, we got your weekly episode of Lexx.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, it's our 666th feature presentation—The Newest Pledge, which may very well be a pizza shit... but it's MY pizza shit.
Be sure to have a beverage on hand for the "Spot Sean in the Scene" drinking game, too.
We be in Cytube again, here: http://cytu.be/r/TroperCoven
How are we supposed to count sightings if we don't know what you look like?
"I'm not a nerd. I'm a specialist." ~Sousuke Sagara...I already linked a screenshot for reference when I brought up this movie yesterday.
Because he specifically left an image last page with him in the back with an orange circle indicating that the man is, in fact, Sean

War is God.Whoops, shame on me. '^_^
"I'm not a nerd. I'm a specialist." ~Sousuke SagaraIt's a shame I missed this one. What are the odds we rewatch it in the near future?
i have a few more suggestions to make for pre/post movie videos.
a muzak (fan)video made with legos
Well, it got a from us, so I suppose watching it again some later time is a plausibility.
In other news, tonight brings us something I've been looking to find for a long, long time, and it has finally been brought to YouTube in just the past week—Nude on the Moon, which is, surprisingly, about a women's nudist colony found on Earth's moon (whose surface is covered with lush, tropical vegetation and gold nuggets).
This is so mind-numbingly stupid, it could only have been filmed a decade before the Apollo 11 moon landing.
Much as I want to see this "nudie cutie" classic, the fall TV season has started up so I won't be here on Sundays for the next several months.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."You've been here on Sundays for the last several months?
Didn't this one have scenes filmed at Coral Castle? We could have a conspiracy pre-show for this one, if it did.
There are scenes filmed at that location in this movie. Wasn't aware of a conspiracy attached to it, though.
I've been to Coral Castle. What conspiracy? ...Oh yeah, the revolving door. :/ That's a conspiracy?

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyPeople like to claim that the builder had extraterrestrial knowledge or something like that. It's more an Ancient Aliens thing than conspiracy thing, I guess.
Just as well I have papers to write, since I'd be checking over my shoulder every few minutes to see if my roommate was watching anyway. :/
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyOkay, happening now, we got another episode of Starcade to amuse and an old episode of In Search Of delving into the mysteries of the Coral Castle to bemuse.
Then, at the top coming hour, the greatest cult classic about a nudist colony on the moon... Nude on the Moon.

Okay, this Monday night brings us more English-dubbed animated weirdness from René Laloux in the form of a little something called Time Masters.
And I got nothing else to say about that...
I think it's great to see another animation.
Hmm...
Teeeerminator 3, is a movie, about the 2030's...
I endorse this line of thinking.
