Heh, just last week I finally went back and watched the rest of the Shadow the Hedgehog play, where Arin took the path known as "Dark Destroyer", largely because the only enjoyable missions were shooting up airships—and if he had stayed Neutral into the fifth level, then shooting up Eggman's airship would appear as a Hero mission. But that got me thinking about something. Is it true that the final story is only unlocked by getting to all 10 endings, not by playing all 55 missions or even all 22 levels? Because it appears to me that you could do like Arin and always start with three Normal missions, then always take a Hero or Dark mission on Sky Troops to reach all the endings, and then you'd unlock The Last Way with fully half of the levels unplayed.
I think it's based off of endings. Which sucks because the bosses in that game all horrible and damage-sponges.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yeah, looks like it pays to be smart about when to use Chaos powers with which gun on those. But are the bosses any more tedious than those missions with more than a few items? I could see a lot of players balking at "Detonate all thirty bombs" or "Defeat all sixty enemy combatants," because who has time to hunt for all that in this Gotta Go Fast world? Well, they seemed to be okay with having to complete fourteen "Touch all the blue balls only once" stages for the privilege of using Hyper form way back in Sonic 3 & Knuckles...
The bosses (sans maybe Diablon and his shield shenanigans) are all pretty straightforward, yes; as already mentioned, it's more of an issue of the game continuing to heavily rely on Heroes' mechanics and nerfing the Homing Attack really hard in favor of other options.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI'm glad they've gotten to the portion of Undertale that's unfamiliar to Ross. Ross railroading how Barry plays was getting kind of annoying.
I'm impressed they managed to figure out the trick to sparing Undyne so quickly.

Now I wonder how Arin would have done against Egg Dealer, which involves just Homing Attacking three buttons over and over again! I was surprised to see how long the Homing Attack could travel to reach a fleeing target.
Shadow's silly level progression system also reminds me that the Grumps never even finished one path through Yoshi's Story despite only having to do another two easy levels. What's up with that?

Apparently, starting today, Youtube has some bug or coding error that causes select channel videos to not appear on your Subscribe page! It has happened to Game Grumps. It has happened to Markiplier.
Cool.
So, I gotta admit, Ross's boss rush level actually seems really well-designed compared to some of his earlier stuff, and basically all of Jirard's levels. It seems difficult, but not bullshit.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I wonder why you would need a subscription to remind yourself of a channel that's committed to uploading at the same times every day, though?
Some use the Subscription page. Some otherwise use the Game Grumps channel video page. It's up to you. The Subscription page is THERE, so it should exist for something.
Mario Maker 28 was uploaded today at the usual time, and is now mysteriously deleted. It's not the same bug, I can see all the other videos on my Subscriptions page, and it's nowhere in the Game Grumps youtube channel video library.
Was there anything in the video that might have caused that?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."It's up right now.
Audio was out of sync in parts and the intro was missing "AND WE'RE THE GAME GRUMPS"
This, the video was horribly out of sync and the intro was cut off
I did discover all this just 5 minutes after the video came up again.
Apparently, the video up now is the 3rd render attempt!
Oh goodie, now people are going to be a dick to Kevin again. My faaaaaaaavorite thing for people to do.
"We're home, Chewie."Honestly, it doesn't help with the Zelda thing earlier with "Title" and a lack of description and all the other editing mistakes. It happens because it's been a consistent issue.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. It's just so...so not a big deal. I don't get the point in complaining about it.
"We're home, Chewie."It shows unprofessionalism. People have every right to complain when the videos lack proper audio synching.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yeah unprofessionalism ain't exactly a concern for me when I'm watching Game Grumps.
People make mistakes. The video got fixed. NBD.
"We're home, Chewie."You might not care, but most people do care when someone who is professionally trained for something consistently half assess their work and gives a less than sufficient end product. And that is grounds to complain, whether you agree with the complaints or not.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Lots of streamers have been complaining about You Tube screwing up audio sinc during uploading in the past week, it's not just game grumps.
Thanks man. I just beat his first Lava Escapades level tonight too. My gripe with that one is your success really comes down to pure luck because there's no way to determine if the Bowser Jr. at the end will snipe you with a fireball.
