Good trope, terribly opaque name. How about something along the lines of Opinion Flip-Flop?
I always thought the name worked on two levels. It's a line from Hamlet, and it's also a good way of describing someone who does this.
The name is obscure/obtuse and the trope is underperforming. Seems like a rename could help.

It may be a line in Hamlet, but it's just a line in Hamlet where Hamlet says a cloud looks like a weasel. He's not referring to Polonius as "like a weasel". Without he context of the whole exchange "It looks like a camel", "Yes, it does", "Or like a weasel", "Or that" it's irrelevant to the trope, which appears to be "Yes-Man even if that means contradicting themselves".

Go ahead with it. The crowner is decisive, and the thread's been languishing long enough. There may be a better name out there that we didn't find, but Opinion Flip-Flop isn't horrid, like "Like a Weasel" is.

Did the rename, wicks (including some misuse removal) and all the tagging required, except for Baka (locked page; edit request was submitted) and Like A Weasel (the old laconic; it's on the Cut List and the wick will go away as soon as it gets cut).
