Anyone got a better name?
Everything is Possible. But somethings are more Probable than others. While Creator Mind Games comes in mind, 99 wicks and 250 inbounds sound rather healthy to me. Any misuse check?
Plus, you want "Ambiguous Name" not "Complaining" for these issues.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou've never heard of Glass Onion? What's wrong with kids these days? You don't actually need to know Glass Onion. The quote from this song is a reference to the very well known "I Am the Walrus."

Glass Onion? What is that?
I've never heard of walrus either.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanNo, I've never heard of Glass Onion, and I don't think the title makes sense to anyone that hasn't heard of that.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Have you at least heard of the Beatles?
I recognized the song, but it certainly didn't help me Guess That Trope.
Yes, I've heard of the Beatles, and I know that one of them is called Paul Mc Cartney. I have no idea why he would be a walrus, though.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Which is pretty close to the trope, but still ambiguous.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI was thinking myself of making a thread for this. The name is obscure, and worse, sort of sounds like the opposite of what the trope is (in that it seems to be a clear answer, you need context to know it only made things murkier).
The obvious name here would be "Obfuscating Creator", though I would welcome more imaginative ones. "Mind game" sets the bar too high: most of the examples are too simple, simply giving answers that explain nothing rather than any sort of planned manipulation.
A blog that gets updated on a geological timescale.I have never read the article, and have no idea what the name means. If I try to guess, I end up comparing it to And Then John Was a Zombie and It Was His Sled.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.While I'm totally familiar with "I Am The Walrus", I've never heard "Glass Onion". And in any case, it's not front-of-mind enough to pop into my head from a title like "the walrus was paul".
Once I know they're talking about the Beatles, I know the reference but still can't understand what the trope is.
For a new title, how about "Explanation Obfuscation"? It's a mindscrew intentionally meant to defy explanations.

I like it.
That's pretty good.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdNeed evidence of misuse or underuse to rename this.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.250 inbounds are good on the "underuse" front (and since it's about ambiguous names here, it's the main issue), unless someone advances a "relative underuse" or "misuse" claim.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman@3, it's a combo of that and Unclear Description.
If we don't have any misuse here, I'm against renaming, I think.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Trope sounds good as it is.
It's not. If it was, this thread wouldn't exist. Also, now what?
That's circular reasoning. We have lots of tropes whose names I don't get, but they're perfectly healthy and thriving and not misused. Renaming such a trope is highly counter-productive. Which is why you have to demonstrate misuse (or underuse, which we've pretty much ruled out here) before asking for a rename.
If no one's willing to take the time to do a wick check, we might as well close this and move on to something we can fix.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. How to do a wick check?
The title is iffy. It's from some song that I bet you never heard of, a quote, and sounds like it's related to It Was His Sled. I might get the meaning of this, but the description isn't that clear to confirm it.
