My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username.Yeah, but they're certainly entertaining.
There seem to be a couple of videos claiming there was widespread voter fraud.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer@ 3od4: That may be true, but a lot of work will be needed to restore English-Scottish relations, and to let off the enmity, or even hatred, stirred up by the Referendum.
The Voters are frauds?

Keep Rolling OnI'm not so sure about that; there'll always be a few people who're bitter everyone disagreed with them, but this was hardly a civil war.
And I don't know, I didn't watch them. They were all being tweeted by accounts with "Libertarian" in the name, so....

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerThat goes without saying.
"You can reply to this Message!"Police in Glasgow are investigating about 10 ballots that were supposedly cast "twice" with fraudsters impersonating the real voter. No word on which way they went, though if it really is just the 10 then it isn't like it matters as regards the result (though obviously the perps should be caught). There were pictures shared on twitter of a Yes vote on a No table in Dundee, but Yes Scotland themselves debunked that one - they were just resting on the table before being moved on.
@Flanker, have you listened to Brown's speech? It is terrific. Everything he wasn't in 2010.

Schild und Schwert der Partei@Achaemenid:
I've listened to part of it, yes, and I'm listening to the rest of it now. To be honest I find it rather stirring - I didn't even know Gordon Brown could do oratory like that.
@Addy:
Indeed. You have been very respectful throughout, for example. I apologise in advance if anything I say sounds like I'm crowing, I'm just immensely relieved at the result.
Locking you up on radar since '09Dear Gordon: always putting the cart before the horse. (Seriously: you should do the stirring oration thing leading up to being PM and during; not afterwards!) Also: learning to smile...
He must have gotten ahold of a good speechwriter.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. There's a reason we have that big disclaimer on UsefulNotes.British Newspapers.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Congratulations, Scotland, and to the whole of the UK. You proved that working together is more desirable than breaking apart, and thus set a very strong precedent to dissuade future Balkanization attempts in Europe.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hmmm: it could help that he's not answerable to the spin machine or opinion polls on this, so is actually saying what he believes.

Dead if it helps, german newspaper sites are not much better, just crawling with Af D fanboys.
"You can reply to this Message!"Maybe we should adapt it into a general comments section disclaimer, covering newspapers globally as well as You Tube and the like.
"Yup. That tasted purple."
Assuming the thing wasn't entirely stage managed, he's doing precisely the opposite of what he did on the campaign trail in 2010; rather than being surrounded by SPADs and union heavies, he's in there with his activists speaking directly.

Schild und Schwert der ParteiGordon's speech was great, I wonder if not having the stress of being PM is part of what enabled him to speak so well.

And speaking about a subject he obviously cares about a great deal. Rumour is that Brown will try running for leadership of Scottish Labour.

Keep Rolling OnThey suggested on the Daily Politics today that Gordon Brown may run for leadership of the Scottish Labour Party. Could be interesting.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThat's one heck of a freaking wake-up call. They had better keep their promises.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Personally I'd be more surprised if he didn't.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerSo, it is finally over. Scotland remains a part of the United Kingdom. However it will end, I hope things work out for Scotland and England and Wales and stuff! Keep it awesome. Hope nothing bad comes out of all this.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI'm torn at the suggestion, on one hand I think it would be great for both Scottish Labour and Scotland, on the other I once had a dream that involved being chased across the Kentish countryside by special ops people, in Black Hawk helicopters, from an independent Scotland lead by Gordon Brown.

Btw, were there people who voted No in order to avoid being fired?
Yes, being fired because of this is not allowed, but one would think they could have gotten fired or something if Yes had won.
