I read the first few chapters of Samon, and he's too much of an edgy jerk. Did he get better?
And did so while pushing the limits of non-decency. It's at least creative with the ways of getting Rito's nose where it doesn't belong, whereas Yuragi-sou is just painting by the numbers placed there by the other two I mentioned (and others). There's nothing really new about it.
I was actually going to read Samon the Summoner, but I got sidetracked by other things than reading manga. At the moment I've got time, though, if I stop trolling writing constructive posts on these forums.

Check out my fanfiction! So does Yuragi'. Hence the pondering.
Yes, he does! But still a big enough jerk to be funny. One of the highlights would be that Samon and Tesshi begin treating the whole tormenting deal like an everday routine, that at 4pm sharp Samon stops the demons from tempting Tesshi and ask her, "Shall we go home?" Even if he won't admit it, there's some good buried in that black soul of his.
And like I said: Yuragi is inferior to TLR when it comes to ecchi. It's the characters that are better (though adminttedly this will be something you can glean from reading the first few chapters).
Samon bored me. There were about two moments I liked in the first five or so chapters, but that was about it. The characters aren't interesting, and the art is bad.
I actually read a bit more of Yuragi. The characters are okay, but not particularly interesting. There are a few solid ones, though. Can't really say they're better than in TLR, though. Yuragi is more modern, perhaps? And better in all aspects than Samon.
Check out my fanfiction!Yuragi is something that's perfectly enjoyable if you read it as it comes out, each installment entertaining on its own, but I agree there's little that makes it stand out from other harem fantasy romcoms. Samon was just annoying for the edgelord antagonist.
Looks like Demi chan has an anime in the works.Should be nice.
Secret SignatureI saw the sample art for the anime...generic moeblob #4625. Yeah, not holding out much hope for it.
The series itself is fine though. It's like a less fanservice, more slice of life Monster Musume, as it focuses on the daily lives of a vampire, yuki-onna, dullahan (non-chuuni), and a succubus teacher.
And the characters are funny. I especially like Miss Vampire. She's comically energetic, and sufficiently trolly (which also backfires often enough).

Check out my fanfiction!I meant the anime adaptation. I like and read the manga.
The manga obviously portrays them as cute, but the artwork still has its uniqueness. The anime's art is just so generic.
Being pessimistic, this is going to be Jitsu wa all over again.
Jitsu wa I just stopped reading at some point. Never liked the art style, and the humour, while it was good on occasion, kind of dragged on. Forgot about what I thought about the anime, but I don't remember thinking it particularly bad. Not like the anime of Tokyo ESP. Anyway, those aren't really the topic here.
I'm not sure where I got the tip, if it was here (was mentioned once 12 pages back, but I'm not sure that was it) or elsewhere, but I started reading (and finished what I found; it's recently started being translated again) Fudatsuki no Kyoko-chan. It's basically about a brother and a sister and their special little problem. On the surface, he seems like a siscon, but that's not really the case (thankfully, as I wouldn't have read it otherwise). There's a lot of the common sibling-tsundere behaviour, but it's written in a way I know real siblings act (mostly; see spoiler). There's also the super-nice class-rep/student council character, much like in Samon, but actually done well, and bounces better with the others.
Now as far as that little problem they have, well, the sister is actually a jiangshi, or a Chinese vampire, and most of the "siscon" behaviour from his part stems from protecting her and everyone else from her. The bow she has in her hair makes her able to control her otherwise monstrous instincts, and he goes to great lengths to make sure it stays on. Which naturally fails quite often. Well, I say "monstrous", but that really goes no further than wanting to suck people's blood. Other than that she becomes completely honest, and acts mostly like a cute little sister. Which she gets very embarrassed about when her hair gets tied up again.

Check out my fanfiction!Just discovered a neat little one just now. Takeo-chan Bukkairoku.
I'm just a few chapters in, but the story centers on Takeo Inou, a girl who was Born Unlucky to the extent that she requires safety gear just to walk around town. When the dorm she was going to move into had no vacancies, she was provided with an apartment in a building that turns out to be haunted by youkai. The thing is, she is so used to misfortune from the erst of her life that these yokai are not the least bit frightening to her. She even finds a few of them cute, such as a crab like creature whose legs are human fingers. She's kept it as a pet.
After a bit of frustration, the youkai do manage to successfully shock her and the sheer amount and quality of negative energy she releases upon that surprise is such that now they don't want her to leave. The Hilarity Ensues mostly because the way to shock Takeo and get that negative energy to appear is to make her feel happiness, which is completely counter-intuitive for youkai.
Art style is, for lack of a better phrase, Jitsu wa-ish, but in this case since you get crazy looking youkai anyway, I don't think it detracts.
Also, as I mentioned in an earlier post, Inside Mari appears to have concluded with chapter 80. It feels, well... inconclusive if I'm going to be honest. Heck the friend who got me into the series tweeted in response "Eh, I'll take it..."

I've read Takeo-chan. Pretty funny series. The youkai are just so bumbling.
@Lyendith: Bullshit. From what I've been seeing around the web they pushed it up to borderline porn.
Give the God Eater game thread some love! That's the joke: Lyendith said that "It's no longer just an ecchi series."

Speaking of "beyond ecchi" series, apparently Tsugumomo's getting an anime.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Secret SignatureI hope they don't censor the shit out of it.
Also, I should probably pick back the Tsugumomo manga, but I just don't have the heart.
I think the art and action would be the hardest bits to adapt tbh.
Secret Signatureβ¦Is that Tsugumomo thing really that "borderline"? >.>
FlippΓ© de participer Γ ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I would post some scans but I would probably get in trouble with the mods. Because yes, it's very much is.
I wound up creating a trope page for Takeo-chan Bukkairoku.
You're welcome
It's not all fun and games too, there are some genuine emotional moments. In fact I put it on hold when it puled such a gut punch I just couldn't take it. I still plan to finish it some day, but I couldn't deal with reading it on monthly basis, it was too frustrating.
You almost make me want to read it, but I've too many things I've promised myself to read already. —'.`—
I don't know where to post this. After Naruto, Nisekoi, Bleach, and soon Toriko and Gintama, another big shot is ending⦠The biggest shot of all.

To Love Ru had several people actually become inanimate objects, though.
