Games need to cut the scalies some slack. And give them a better name than "Lizardmen". "Saurians" works if you ask me. Less generic, still applicable, and not gender-biased.
They're recruit-able in Tactics Ogre, granted only in the heat of battle.
As for naming, Bangaa consider being called lizards a racist epithet.
Umbran Climax◊Reallllllyyyy like sap.
So we should stop calling them that!
Wait, the main character in Final Fantasy XII was raised by a Bangaa? I never noticed because I literally spent more time watching the opening cutscenes than playing the actual game thanks to the Camera Screw.
Bleye knows Sabers.Assuming my memory is correct. As I recall, Vaan lived with his brother up until said brother got killed at the end of the game's tutorial level, and a Bangaa merchant took him in. Can't remember if him and his brother lived with the merchant beforehand, or if he was only adopted after the Empire invaded.
The lack of Bangaa characters in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and its sequel offends me.
Likes many underrated webcomicsMy memory is fuzzy, but isn't the Bangaas are somewhat furry in FFXII?
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?A few of them are, but not very.
Umbran Climax◊@NLK: What are you talking about? I remember having tons of Bangaa in my party.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I think it is about unique NP Cs.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?I'd just like to say that JF Sargent is a douchebag.

Honestly, I hope Cracked fires him.
Everything is Possible. But somethings are more Probable than others. And he's a bad writer?
Sounds like a Dunning-Kruger example to me.
Stop rerailing the topic, people.
Bleye knows Sabers. So he's mentioning privilege now? He's not a cis male WASP like I presume he is?
I kind of hope they fire him too, if this is the best kind of article he can write that makes wild assumptions about peoples' base morality. :/
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyHe at least looks like a WASP.
He's a douche to be sure, but it's not like this is the best he can write. This article, as well as these two, are pretty interesting and have some funny captions *. I do hope he gets fired though (can you even fire a freelancer?). The comments illustrate that the readers now have a deep, burning hatred of him.
...Suicide is possibly one of the most selfish thing you can do. You are dead and you no longer ave to deal with your problems, but your friends will have to deal with the loss of a friend, your parents loss of a son/daughter, your sister/brother loss f sibling, etc. iI's exactly the same result as if you murdered somebody else, except the people that you've hurt is different.
And I question the morality of self sacrifice as well. Have you asked your parent if they are willing to sacrifice their son/daughter for two or more stranger that they do not know? What about your siblings? Friends? Have you asked every single people who cared for you if they are willing to make a sacrifice (ie you) for whatever it is you are sacrificing for? When you die, it's not just you dying but also everyone who cares for you suffers.

However, you can't forget that many people grappling with suicidal thoughts are not in a position to make rational decisions about whether or not they should die. Calling someone who committed suicide due to mental illness "selfish" is about as valid as saying that somebody selfishly died of tuberculosis. They have agency, yes, but the very nature of the illness they're suffering is compromising it.
Good point. I'll admit I didn't consider things from that angle. There are definitely times people should be able to choose when and how they go out.

It is a selfish action. The person who does it isn't necessarily so because s/he might not be to blame. Hence why it is tragic, because most of the time people are forced to do it despite the fact that it is wrong.

Suicide is tragic.
Unless Elves do it, then its hilarious.
Everything is Possible. But somethings are more Probable than others. If you're suffering without any hope on a better situation, shouldn't you be able to decide what you want to do with your life instead of others? Even if those others are your friends. What you said could be reversed: isn't it wrong to keep a person suffering because of you?

If any question why we died/ Tell them, because our fathers lied -Rudyard Kipling*looks for the topic*
Nope, can't find it.
This thread has turned into a roller-coaster. Super lock time.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer
And there's also self-sacrifice. If my getting killed saved at least two other people, that isn't wrong in the least.
