Suggestion: Flash Of Pain

Flash of Pain is imageless. I would like to make it not so.

I therefore present this image as a suggestion:

Important elements are too small :)

Sadly, that's a case of the 200kb limit working hard to make this more difficult than it has to be, so I couldn't make it any bigger.

Have the original of the last image? Probably it could be scaled differently and not get blurry.

Post 4 was at full size, not blown up. It's probably a function of Deceased Crab's video recording software and the fact that Star Tropics doesn't have particularly good resolution graphics.

I think so, since the bullet in the image should convey the idea that the flash is as a result of being hit, though that may partly be my Fan Myopia at work.

Also, Turns Red=/=Turning red, and could stand a better name, but that's TRS material, so I'll leave that alone.

No I know (and think it's a great name for other things) but it is sometimes literally turning red :)

Since the page is currently imageless and has no IP stamp, I've no problem just inserting the image in right here, but since I've started this thread and am seeking suggestions, I'd like to get approval (or alternate ideas) from at least a few other people rather than unilaterally putting it in.

It's a good representation of the trope, but at the same time it's just not making me go "Yeah, I like this." The former's the most important part, so barring any other suggestions the side-by-side version gets my vote.

I do like the last version of the suggestion, although I must admit I always think "flashing white" when I think about this trope. But then again flashing red might be better precisely because it reminds tropers that that happens too.. Anyway, here are two(x two) pictures from Last Alert:

Still prefer the skull-like thing, since it looks evil and then painful after the hit. Plus, it's easier to see
