I'd oblige, but (as I said) Pokémon takes priority and I already have Twitter and my blog as outlets for my opinions (I even have a specific column on my blog that talks about overlooked games and anime).
I'll link my blog post on the subject if I write one.
Best track, right here:
Cool.
-Expects kickin' boss theme-
-Is disappointed at first-
-Replays track twelve times-
Bleye knows Sabers.I know, right!? Though something with more kick, hm?
I'm not very confident in my ability to describe the game in a way to tip someone over, but maybe after I've played for a little longer I can come up with some impressions that have a little more substance.
My impressions so far? It's a very solid game. Fun characters, easy to control, beautifully animated character models. I've only played as Solange so far, but she's a blast. She's slow, as one would expect from a tiny woman wielding a BFS, but when she hits she hits hard. One of her specials launches enemies into the air where you can than jump up to pursue them and continue your combo. You're never defenseless in the air, either. Controls are responsive and smooth, and the game is incredibly good for pick up and play. The Quests/Missions I've played so far only take a couple of minutes to complete.
The translucent layered sprites and rudimentary polygonal bursts gives this game's visuals a very doujin-like feel. Not a big deal but I can see it being a put-off for some people- I for one like my Wave-Motion Gun to be a stonking great 2D cylinder with a crimson core and a white spiral whirling around it. Cave does that most of the time .
Come to think of it, we need more Sprite/Polygon Mix games (which this is not, as far as I recall) using detailed sprites rather than crude polygon geometric entities for their projectiles and beams.
Haha, yeah. I've already seen one disparaging comment comparing it to a Newgrounds game.
I think it's gorgeous, honestly.
I am loving this song.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I held off on buying Persona 4 Arena and instantly regretted it.
I am not letting this game slip past my fingers.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I called my local Gamestop Bend Over and they said they had one copy, which was reserved. Good thing I already had mine.
They practically don't even carry Atlus games at all, save Persona 4 Arena.

My pre-order arrived today, and I didn't even pay up for the expedited shipping!
First impressions are pretty good, but I'll have to try not to forget about the lock-on and burst mechanics.
Can we get some co-op going? 2707-1837-5715
My code is at the top of page 2.
I'm currently maining Solange, here's what she looks like so far:
Lvl. 29 HP: 1573 MP: 1633 Vit: 21, Def: 27, Piety: 22, Mind: 21, Attack: 44, Speed: 33
Her current equipment is as follows:
Moon (HP Regeneration Effect during Burst) Sylph (Speed Up) Venom Charm (Poison Guard) March Gloves (Vitality Up) Champion Earring (Extra damage to bosses)
The equipment also carries various other unique stat boosts, but describing it would get long winded.
Picked up my copy. The store apparently only got ONE extra copy.
Mine is in the mail!! Come to me, sweet game. /grabby hands
i. hear. a. sound.I gave the Code Of Princess page a little more meat in the description. This is my first time contributing to a page at such a level, so let me know if I can make improvements.
I also added a few examples to the game's Funny Moments section.
This game is indeed hilariously self-aware.
For that matter, a trope question...does the DeLuxcalibur qualify as a Sword of Plot Advancement if Solange starts the game with it? It's clearly the game's central MacGuffin at this point, except she clearly uses it as her main weapon throughout the game, more in line with the former trope.
Question for those who have beaten the Campaign. What would one call Zozo aka Milk's scarf?
I'm having a hell of a time trying to organize all of the twists from the end of the game...
Just started this. I don't usually play these kinds of games, but it seems fun so far. The game has a nice sense of humor, and the gameplay feels smooth and easy to figure out. I like it.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Out of the 4 main characters, Allegro is broken as fuck. I really like playing as him.
I've been experimenting with different characters, including the gag ones. The little girl fights with shouts!
It's really fun nuking things as the dragon, but it can't equip very much probably because it would be too powerful.
I've unlocked all the characters except for Distille. The Bonus Mission to unlock her is very hard. It is the final one, after all. With both Solange and Marco Neko (who is also ridiculously broken) I've managed to get her to a small chunk of health, but then her defenses go through the roof and its a slow slog until I inevitably run out of time. So frustrating.
I'm still having a lot of fun, though, and I'm thoroughly enjoying kicking butt with others on co-op. Anyone want to set a game up with me sometime?
*insert obligatory Skyrim joke here*
So, how does Tsukikage play?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I actually haven't played as him yet. Or Sister Hel. Or Master T.
...I should resolve this immediately. Or tomorrow.
So far I've been alternating between Solange, Marco and Schwartz in co-op, and I've been replaying the Campaign with Allegro.
I'm really liking playing as Liongate aka Schwartz. I've always been a fan of swordsmen that use kicks and/or punches in their fighting style, and it's really fun to rack up combos with him and end it with a magic attack.
I finally unlocked Fallen Angel Dios Diablos Distille for play. Man, that bonus quest was tough. I was so satisfied when I beat it, though. I now only have 2 single player bonus quests to go and have unlocked all characters.
In other news, I now ship Solange/Ali. Hard.
Would you believe I found this game, gently used, at the top of a stack of used games at Gamestop today? I figured this was my only chance to get it, and so I did.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefIt's not that surprising. I love the game, but the campaign is short. Someone who didn't find the game to have much replayability must have returned it fairly soon after finishing the Story Mode. I've managed to get over 50 hours out of the game though, so I'm happy.
Also, according to the eShop this game will be downloadable starting on January 3rd.
I Read It For The Economics!
Be sure to post extended impressions here, guys. I need a hardcore's perspective on the game. It might push me over the edge for a 3DS purchase.
