Well, Memory Jar is still limited to one copy in Legacy and Vintage last I checked, and it is not like those formats are unfamiliar with linchpin combo.

White focus on systems and mechanics, red focus on emotions and flavor? I could see that.

All right, that is legit awesome. Think this could be fast enough for Legacy? Dark Rituals and Chrome Mox could blitz it out quick, and going off as little as once to burn up a win condition or chuck a combo piece might be enough to trash certain decks. Perhaps not main deck, but perhaps a side deck for dealing with combo.

It's kind of funny to have a spy commander who discourages playing with discard spells.

If they want to impress me, legalize Contract From Below, or Shahrazad.

I remember seeing that-I give it maybe a week before someone points out Spike and they drop the Banhammer.
Spike can't fetch Contract From Below unless you are already playing for ante, because ante cards cannot be used in non-ante games according to the rules. Source

I meant to specify Shahrazad-the last thing WOTC wants to do is restart Ante rules. Contract From Below was a joke, and I should have phrased it s such.
