If the trailer is anything to go by, and admittedly it may well not be, their job in this storyline is basically the same as Worf's in the average Star Trek episode - it looks like this is Liliana's show.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.I want so badly for Nissa to be the one to give Nahiri the, "What the f*ck is wrong with you?!" speech about how they saved Zendikar while she was off murdering Innistrad. Someone needs to call Nahiri out, and Nissa seems like the right person for it because she has the same deep-rooted connection with Zendikar. Possibly deeper.
I also want Nahiri to get eaten by Emrakul, but that's just because karma.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.That will likely happen.
Also does anyone know which of the Magic the Gathering novels I should start with if I want to read about the Phyrexian invasion of Dominaria while getting to know all the characters?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The Order of the Books according to MTGS, with the Weatherlight novels arranged both chronologically and in release order.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Thanks.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The Spirit of Dreams about Unreleased Sets came to me last night with visions of eldritch horror.
I don't remember much, but in the event that this set brings back exploit, I may be psychic.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Kinda unlikely this early after DTK, but it would fit thematically.
Yeah, I'm not exactly betting on "psychic", here.
Edit: Although, you know where exploit would be the perfect returning mechanic? The probably-inevitable return to New Phyrexia.

You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Ohhhhhhhhhh my.
Oh look. Somebody at Wot C decided to make BFM a real card.
Huh, so they did do it.
I like how Scavengers lets you return Rats to your hand if it died earlier.
Edit: Hmm. What if the Hanweir fusion abomination is the back of a Meld card, not a transformation? That would explain the Eldrazi symbol instead of day/night, and fit with how Hanweir went.

You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Suddenly the 'two legendary angels merge to form a bigger super angel' rumor seems all but certain.
Assuming it's true, still waiting on how that'll work in Commander and if they'll allow dual commanders for such a setup or if they'll simply make anyone who wants to go that route take the hard task of picking one and getting the other half the old fashion way.
That route might not work if the individual sides have different colour identities, which would be likely if it respresents their pre-corruption selves.
It could be that for legendary creatures that meld, you can use both for your commander, and your deck's color identity is that of both of them.
If I understand correctly, the melded card might be your commander, and you have to get the others to Meld on to?
That seems insanely broken from a card advantage standpoint. It essentially lets you start with a nine-card hand, with two of them being a rigged two-card combo (they'll have to balance these on the assumption that you won't be able to get them together all the time so they work half-decently in regular magic. These are essentially combo cards.). I'm really curious to see how they'll try to get this to work... if they do at all. It could just be a Dragonlord Kolaghan situation where it's a legendary that was never meant to work in edh. I would be disappointed, if so.

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''The options for a commander that can handle both of them are kinda slim unless you want to go 5-colour. I guess two of the the 4-colour commanders we'll be getting this autumn will work too though.
The DFC could just have a color-indicator with 3 colors on the transformed side
Only 3 pairs of Meld cards are in EMN. So only Gisela/Bruna is gonna be problematic for the EDH format.
edit: well, it seems both are monowhite so no problem there. And Gisela is a mini-baneslayer at 4cc. Get your chase mythic now!!

Just so everyone knows, in the unlikely event that I get both Bruna and Gisela, I will proclaim "WE ARE MALACHITE NOW" whenever they meld.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.I'd go with a Polymerization reference myself, but to each his own.
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!Good options, both. But then, might I posit... "Fu-sion ha!"?

''The eternal question of reality, it still stands today.''"Fu-sion HAAARRHGHGHRARHRHGHHBHGHLL!"
I'm a little surprised it wasn't done as a modal spell with escalate, and on the other hand really not that surprised because I suspect that would be pretty obnoxious.
Edit: Other stuff:
- A Summary of Two Fears has the horse and rider from the trailer (Lone Rider/It That Rides As One) and a fisherman who really wishes the big one had gotten away (Grizzled Angler/Grisly Anglerfish).
- Strength in Numbers introduces tweaks on Accumulated Knowledge (Take Inventory) and Kindle (Galvanic Bombardment).
- Intro Pack Rares include a prowess creature that makes Ringwarden Owl look even weaker than it already was (N Iblis of Frost), a man who really believes in team spirit (Sanctifier of Souls), a treefolk that seems to have escaped from the BG draft sub theme in Khans block (Ulvenwald Observer), a pack of wolves that apparently shoot lightning bolts or something (Assembled Alphas) and a mob of Zombies that becomes a differently arranged mob of Zombies (Noosegraf Mob).
- MTGS has found Emrakul's Influence (translated from French), which rewards casting 7+ mana Eldrazi spells by throwing cards at you in huge quantities.
- And from Twitter, Docent of Perfection, the final entry in the Delver of Secrets saga (or at least let's hope so for the sake of the poor bastards on Innistrad), which starts out spawning 1/1 Wizard tokens for casting instants and sorceries, then if you have three Wizards, turns into a lord for Wizards who gives them all +2/+1 and flying, while still making tokens, Yikes.

I imagine Sorin would have reacted in a more reasonable way had he not been mentally exhausted from just finishing the creation of Avacyn. Had Nahiri visited him a few days later, we could have avoided all this.
