Oh yeah, she played violin in that acoustic version of "Party Rock Anthem".
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. She's also done the Legend of Zelda Medley while walking around the wilderness in a Blue Tunic and did a duet with Peter Hollens for the Skyrim Theme.

The hip-hop violist. I have been watching her for a while.
What's amusing is that the singer uploaded the same video onto her own channel, and the two videos are very close in terms of views.
I love the Celtic Christmas medley. She does make for a cute elf.
...whoah. this is impressive.
Read my stories! Also she was on Americas Got Talent, which I JUST found out :V
Spooky.I think the dancers are unneeded.
I just came here to say that yeah, she's pretty good. Her collab cover of Radioactive with Pentatonix is particularly impressive (violin solo!).
Lindsay is too cool! I love watching her videos!
"Marth likes just the tip, Lucina likes the whole thing."Gonna actually see her in concert this coming Friday. Should be fun. (And hopefully it'll make up for not being able to see Morrissey the next day since he cancelled the rest of his tour...again...)
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I recently discovered Lindsey through Pentatonix, with that "Radioactive" cover. She's incredible.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I was shown her by one of the guys I talk to over Skype. She's really good ^^
I'm considering whatever it's worth seeing her in concert the second time or not. When I first saw her, I got in the moshpit and 10 feet away from her for $20 dollars. Now she's going to one's of the city's major theatre venues, and the orchestra pit costs about $90. For reference, I recently had a similar 10-feet-away experience with Charli XCX for $20 (although Mom theorizes that she booked the tour before she exploded).
She might not be mainstream (she had a long but minor run on Hot AC radio, but nothing big outside of You Tube), but at this pace, she'll have a cult fanbase for years to come. Electronic violin music is just such a great subgenre that she filled.
Oh, and here's the "Take Flight" music video she did for the 2nd You Tube Music Awards.

"Take Flight" is a really awesome video, never mind an awesome song. Very trippy.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Holy fuckballs that was awesome(and trippy!) as hell!
I finally got around to downloading "Shatter Me" note and it is sooooo goood!

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Oh dude I love Lindsey Sterling. I have both her albums.
I stumbled across her first one on Google Play a while back, checked out a couple songs and was all "whoa, goddamned awesome) and bought it promptly.
2016 tour dates. One's pretty close to me. I am really going to try to get tickets.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"For those who may not have been following it, Lindsey's new album, Brave Enough, is releasing soon. iTunes preorders (link) give you early access as individual tracks release; other stores may have similar deals.
The music video for "The Arena" dropped two weeks ago along with the track. It features Lindsey doing a truly impressive tango with Derek Hough, and the theme is a Mad Max-inspired post-apocalyptic setting. The message is very interesting: at first I thought there were racist and sexist overtones in the imagery of two black men fighting and a woman and her child being attacked by other women. Then the scene reversed and showed that each couple was being judged not by a crowd but by themselves.
"Something Wild" just released today. It's a vocal track featuring Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness — not a name I recognize but the lyrics are beautiful. The song is about finding freedom in the wild instead of among the crowds of people and the drag of one's own past.
Even more exciting: I'm seeing Lindsey tomorrow night in Reading, PA!

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I saw the Petes Dragon remake last night, and while I had known for a while that "Something Wild" would be the Award-Bait Song, what I didn't know was that Linsdey apparently did the violin music for the entire score. Great movie, too.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Her music sounds good. However, i can't help but feel old when some people are claiming she is the first Female Violinist to mix Classical and Electronic when it truth it already happened in the 1990s by this British violinist, Vanessa Mae.
Huh, didn't know that was Vanessa Mae's pedigree. All I've heard from her before is her cover of The Beatles' "Because" from George Martin's In My Life album.
I am not sure that anyone is trying to insist that Lindsey is the only artist of this type, nor that she pioneered the idea of dance/violin/electronica synthesis. She has, certainly, made it super big doing so. (She played the national anthem at the 49'ers game last night, apparently.)

A pretty damn awesome violinist.
Also, she should have a page.
