Don't make duplicate threads please. I need to lock one of them.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerSorry. Not used to this. You can lock the older one since it was said that the trope itself isn't a duplicate. Still it's hardly described.
I think the difference between this trope and Bratty Half-Pint is that the Mouthy Kid is generally more sympathetic. The Bratty Half-Pint is generally a minor antagonist, while the Mouthy Kid is often the protagonist or someone close to the protagonist. In fact, we may even cheer for the Mouthy Kid - when he or she talks back to an unreasonable (or even abusive) authority figure. The Bratty Half-Pint, on the other hand, generally exists to make life miserable for our protagonist.

That's quite good indeed.
It's clearer that way and I think I may use these words to rewrite the trope if nobody minds.
Locking up, since this seems done.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
I know, it's the second time I do this but really there's a problem here.
This trope needs a better description. And maybe another title.
As it is, it's not really described, it doesn't even say what a Mouthy Kid does and what the character is like. It just says that it appeared in some television show that made the trope popular and that it's a subversion of Children Are Innocent. Yes but what does a Mouthy Kid DO? How do they act? How are they different from the Bratty Half-Pint which sounds very similar?
Now don't get me wrong, there IS something here but it has to be made clearer.
