Nightmare Fuel cleanup

My opinion: Axe them. Saying: "It's especially scary if you're in a dark room" is too close to Troper Tales.

getting annoyed at tropers editing the high octane pages without moving them.

At least I'd be moving them after I have cleaned them up.

EDIT: I've done with Detective Conan, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Puella Magi Kazumi Magica. Before cutting the HNOF of the second one, though, I would let the HNOF to be redirects to the NF page for a few days, since I'm not completely (just somewhat) familiar to this work. (The other issue is that due to PMMM's fame, I fear it'd have too many inbounds)

@24: NF has legitimately become the trope for any reaction of fear. Any reaction from "that was kind spooky" to "I think I just shat myself", intentional or not, counts.

ANF is technically a sub-reaction/subtrope, although I personally feel like we should just axe it since the only actual examples I've found are basically Uncanny Valley.

Is there a time limit?

Asking me? A week I guess— that page is long, I did a lot of cleanup (and folderized it), and only knew the main storyline through TVT spoilers. I would need someone who actually knows it for review.

First, just nuking a namespace because it's "too similar to Troper Tales" is a fancy way to say "let's give up". And that's not what we're here for. Also, if we just nuke namespaces, the next thing will be "no more Awesome Moments, no more Funny Moments, no more Sugar Wiki, no more YMMV"... I mean... really?

Second: if we check a page constantly enough, maybe tropers will understand how not to screw up. As I mentioned, the "Example Lobotomy" writing style I've come up with (in my first post in this discussion) should provide an example of the guidelines we can encourage tropers to follow.

I brought back NightmareFuel.Kingdom Hearts, but it's an utter freaking mess. It needs to be fixed or I'll have to scrap it again.

Who said anything about namespaces? We're talking about natter and it needs to be axed.

It seems like all examples were deleted from NightmareFuel.Brawl In The Family for no reason, then the page was locked or cut...

It also appears like HighOctaneNightmareFuel.Brawl In The Family redirects to that page.

Personal anecdotes definitely should not be on any of the moments pages. Periodically, I'll check the pages under TearJerker.Music for personal anecdotes.

Guess I'll be joining in on this after all. I'll start by dealing with the wicks to Accidental Nightmare Fuel.

Just to check (again), wicks in YMMV pages should be redirected, not deleted outright, correct? I've had some overlap on Accidental Nightmare Fuel with someone who seems to be completely purging examples from YMMV pages.

How do you change the page? I'm doing cleanups, but I have no idea how to change a HONF page to NF. Can someone help me there? Anyway, I cleaned Accidents And General Body Horror and am working on High Octane Nightmare Fuel/Animals and more pages as I write this.

Fuck, I can't tell which is worse: the actual nightmare fuel on ABH as I cleaned it, or the fucking Natter on Animals. At least ABH was an easy cleanup even if (obviously, and for legitimate reasons, sickening reading) but why are people nattering so much on Animals? I think we need to lock Real Life/Animals once I finish cleaning it.

I'd just delete the bad bullet points.

If they didn't bother to write their examples properly, they shouldn't expect it to stay.

There is a lot of crap to clean up right now and it may be best to adopt a "When in doubt, Edit it out" philosophy when dealing with Nightmare Fuel.
