Screaming at Squick. 23 links, 5 inbounds. Not thriving. What's going on?

Looks like it's about a year old, and has gained 17 wicks in that time. I think the problem was it was launched with only 6 examples. That, and I'm not sure how common it really is.

So the trope is screaming at something horrifying? Doesn't sound like much of a trope.

Belief or disbelief rests with you.

[up]No, it's screaming at Brain Bleach. It even says it's a Sub-Trope. What part of the page makes it look like it's at something horrifying?

Things that require brain bleach are generally rather horrible. Otherwise they wouldn't require brain bleach.

Still not really seeing a trope.

[up] You're using "horrible" too broadly. Seeing a war atrocity is horrible. Brain Bleach doesn't cover stuff like that. It covers the "two girls and a cup video", or getting turned on by an old bikini model only to learn it's your grandmother.

This trope is getting laughs out of people screaming at that.

I can't think of any examples I've seen that aren't already on the page. I don't know how common this is.

Really, it seems like it's not even worthy of a seperate trope. Maybe just an addendum to the Squick or Brain Bleach pages.

"A common gag featuring this trope will have the characters screaming excessively at the horrifying image", perhaps with a potholed What Do You Mean It's Not Heinous?.

Something along those lines. It's not uncommon, but it's really just part of the Squick or Brain Bleach trope, and isn't really distinct enough to warrant it's own trope. It's basically Go Mad From The Revalation for something not nearly as bad. If it were thriving more, it'd be fine as it is, but with only a few examples, I'm not sure it's distinct enough.

A few examples does not mean it isn't distinct. It could also mean that more examples need to be collected.

And trust me, this does happen more often.

Also, this ykttw counts as another Super-Trope, since not all Brain Bleach reactions are comically over-the-top.
