I'm just noting the crunchyroll so that people can see for themselves if it's too ecchi for tvtropes.
Don't worry, I have a bottle of gin at my side as we speak. (write? post?) Likewise, I just hit the 1 min. mark and already (presumably the same) panties. I feel dirty.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenHow old are these middleschoolers? The 14-15 type or the young type?
eh... I don't think I'd like this series.
...is there even a plot there?!

They seem to be fresh out of grade school, so probably about 12-13.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenEvidently just entered middle school, so about 7th-grade. (I can't remember how these things work.) Also, I've racked up a count of about 2-3 panty shots per chapter - each one taking up about half a page. At least 3 counts of groping in 7 chapters so far - ostensibly to measure cup size.
...I'd say this counts as pandering to the hebephiles, at least.
EDIT: Chapter 8 - finally, some fanservice of a character who's legal. (I never thought I'd say that.) Anyway, I'll comment on the plot once I've finished with the scanlated chapters, but it's your typical "girl starts her own school club" plot... except that main character inherited the family business of underwear design.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.and Agreed. Just for completeness's sake, I would advise sampling some out of the middle and end in case it gets better, but I doubt it will. Male Gaze on 12-year-olds is just not right.
EDIT: Confirmation: "Nayu Hayama is a twelve year old girl entering Ounan Middle School...". Goddamnitsomuch.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenI think the way they work is closer to "we've got a direct line for Japanese companies to put out subtitled content" rather than the usual licensing deals, and being on the web also means they bypass retail channels and any limits therein (although they recently got the DVD licence to Five Centimeters Per Second).
It shows a lot of Viz and Funamation stuff though. and it has Aniple's Madoka. I believe it's like a hulu
There is no such thing as a hebephile. There are pedophiles and regular people. "Hebephilia" and whatever the other made-up one is are not listed in the DSM-5.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Well, the DSM is only for the diagnosis of mental illnesses. I WILL BORE YOU. DSM was my best subject!
Yes, being on Crunchyroll is a neutral fact in content discussions. It just means it's easier for it to be reviewed.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickIt doesn't seem to host actual pornos though.
Update: Two episodes sampled, will do one more. Verdict does not look favorable.
Update the final:
My verdict: cutlist for pedo-pandering
- Concept is about 12-yr. olds forming a club about underwear. Eps. I sampled milked this for fanservice.
- Lingering Male Gaze, gratuitous underwear exposure, partial nudity (albeit with convenient coverage) on girls who are, again, 12 yrs. old.
- Demographic: Seinen
There is no way this is anything other than pedo-pandering.
I need another goddamn drink.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenMartello: Even if you don't care, the other term was "ephebophiles", and I don't really plan on using the DSM unless I'm diagnosing someone. (Psychiatry was always one of my weaker subjects.)
Status update: Gone through all 35 scanlated chapters.
EDIT: Added target demographic. Thanks for reminding me, shima.
- Target demographic: Seinen.
- Plot: "Girl starts her own club" plot set in middle school. Unfortunately, said interest is in underwear design, by way of her grandmother.
- Amount of questionable content: 2-3 bra / panty shots per chapter at least, each occupying between a quarter to half a page, and ever-increasing frequency of finding some reason or other to show 12-year-olds in their underwear... or less. Splash pages in between chapters are full-page spreads of characters in lingerie (most of the time). Groping in a number of chapters, ostensibly to check cup size.
- Mitigating factors: Discusses technical details about underwear design, addresses the issue of puberty as part of the natural process of growing up.
- Comments: ...The mitigating factors aren't mitigating factors in the least, and the underaged characters are most definitely sexualised, judging from the focus of the work and the art direction. (Seriously? Half-page panty shots?)
- Personal opinion: Based on the current guidelines... Cut.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. You're a brave Tonberry, Pyrite. I'd buy you a drink were you anywhere near me.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenYes, even I feared to read that and I've read almost all of Kn J.
Yeah, it's a pretty clear case especially with the target audience.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick...I'm pretty sure I've seen worse, but I'll drink to that. (Also, I guess it's proven that I no longer have a soul or a conscience, but whatever.)
Also, why are there lingerie ads showing up on Adsense now?

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. Is it at least heartwarming?
Anyway, I noticed that there are a lot of things I tagged early on as being blatant porn are still undecided. Since I don't recommend that the P5 plays the worse ones should I perhaps offer some information on them? The stuff I tagged was mostly a bunch of porn VNs.
Does that even matter? Based on what I saw, it tries sometimes and falls flat on its face. Mostly it just pedo-panders. Then again, like anyone who would dare endeavor to watch this, my heart beats cold.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenI assumed P5 would handle them one at a time and ask for opinions if they needed them.
At least the heartwarming parts would be some sort of plot, like Emotionless Girl learns to have friends or something.
^^ I suppose.
I'm outside the US. Good luck, you'll need it.
EDIT: I'll have a look at the manga scanlations. 35 chapters.
[Beat]
Page 3, and I'm already seeing a half-page middle-schooler panty shot in close-up detail. This can't be good.
