I'm gonna say Keep Until Better Image Suggested, mainly because this has the potential for gore and we need to keep whatever we pick as low on that as possible. I've got a fantastic image in mind, but the chances of finding it are practically nil.
How about the last three panels of this strip? Or panel 6 and 7 of this one?

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Pretty sure this is specifically about getting shot in the eye (so stabbing doesn't count). It's even listed in the Guns and Gunplay Tropes index.

Right.
EDIT: Nuts...I found the image I wanted to use, but I think it'd be too small for our purposes. *sigh* It's the page from the old GI Joe comic where Zartan kills Serpentor with an arrow to the eye, if anyone can find it in different places than what I was finding.

How about the Episode of Heroes where Mohinder kills Noah Bennet?
That's fine example right there.
One Strip! One Strip!Tropes Are Not Narrow. I don't see why a knife wouldn't qualify.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! While tropes are not narrow, we do already have Eye Scream for the super trope, and looking looking at the description and examples, this is specifically about, well, people getting shot in the eye by projectiles.

Agreed on the title, that's awful.

However, you're allowed to start a thread regarding underuse (30 wicks definitely qualifies as "not thriving"), snowclone / ambiguous name, and duplicate (is this really distinct from Eye Scream?)

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Underuse (with evidence), misuse (with evidence) and duplication(with evidence) are the specific reasons.

Clock is set.
The (poorly named) trope Moe Greene Special is about somebody being shot in the eye. The image is some random guy with broken glasses. Nothing about the image suggests that he has been shot, though.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
