Much like the old pic for Obviously Evil, the current pic of Skeletor on Skull for a Head has some quality issues. There were several good suggestions in the ObviouslyEvil IP thread; I'm not where I can look at a lot of them right now, but the chest-up shot from the new He-Man cartoon is one of my favorites that I can remember.

All the other Skeletor pics in that crowner [up] are better quality than this one.

Agreed.

So, piccies like these: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5].

I didn't pick those where the head was too small, where the picture quality was lower, and one that was too similar to the Obviously Evil one.

I personally like the first and third ones. The first one is a little meaner looking, and the third shows more of the skull, and not just the face.

I like the third one best; there's no sword to take focus off the head, which is clearly the focus along with his blue body.

Any non-Skeletor suggestions?

4.1 is my overall favorite of everything so far. Here's a better Ghost Rider pic.

I like showing that the rest of the body is not skeletal (tho Ghost Rider is a bare skeleton under the leather IIRC), because that is part of the trope. The full-body one with the floating chain (8.2) looks cooler I think. Also the Red Skull image shows the "not literally a skull, but looks like one" variant.

I don't like Ghost Rider or Blazing Skull for this reason: Flaming Skulls

[up] You know, when I was posting that last night, I was thinking we had a trope for that...thanks for the find. So, back to Skeletor...4.1 still works best for me. We could possibly pair it with a shot of Red Skull to get the literal and variant versions in one shot.

The guy roasting a marshmallow on his own head needs to go in the Flaming Skulls Image Links. It's too funny not to link it.

Bump...are we ready for a crowner?

Yep.

I made one. Ugh, why isn't making a crowner just a tool in the tool menu?

Maybe this is the right url: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner.php/ImagePickin/SkullForAHead

This one's more than ready to call. The new pic's up, potholed, and tagged; caption or no? I was thinking something along the lines of "Fools! I don't need a tongue to monologue!" but that's weak.
