A'ight, so Forgiveness and Melodrama have the exact same image. Although it fits both tropes, I think that the one on Forgiveness would be easier to find replacements for.

That pic's perfect for Melodrama.

It'd need a caption, but how about Pope John Paul II forgiving his would be assassin?

Or the return of the Prodigal Son?

Perhaps this artwork by Rembrandt entitled "The Return of the Prodigal Son"?

A possibly clearer version with more contrast can be found here: [1]

I actually like the slightly less sharp version that's on Forgiveness right now.

There's yet another Prodigal Son, by James Tissot, which I prefer:

"They were not very good crumpets anyway, son."

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.

[up] I think that one is the best image presented so far. I also think the less sharp version of the current image would be better for Melodrama.

[up][up] My preferred image so far, but it needs a better caption or none.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I prefer no caption myself. That or information about the source, but they say we're not doing that anymore.

How about "Pride goeth before a fall, but Forgiveness goeth before a stand."?

Fun fact: "prodigal" means "wasteful".

[up][up] I like that...is that from the Bible or somewhere else?

It's an adaptation of Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goes before descruction and a haughty spirit before a great fall."

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I'm gonna make a call on this one so we can resolve the duplicate pic and move on. The last Prodigal Son pic and the suggested caption are up and tagged; locking up.
