Hm, Questionable Content has some good examples on that (particularly Marten's mother).
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Dammit, that would be beyond perfect, but QC's panels are a bit too wide.
Here's the comic in question. Even cropping off everything to the left of Miss Reed would be too wide. But if someone has an idea to make it work, I'm all ears (and here's the previous comic, for the "Who wants to see baby pictures" part).

This one would also work. Or possibly the last panel from this one, or the last two from that one.
And first panel here. Wow, QC is good at this :)
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! That last comic still cracks me up and I've read it at least half a dozen times. Any of those would be good, but the two paneler where Marten's hugging his mom and the first panel of the last one are best.
Bump...any other thoughts?
That one looks good.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. No i have the perfect one. The Shikimaru thinking of hanging himself when his mother shows picture of his childhood to his girlfriend in the web comic Naru/Hina http://mattwilson83.deviantart.com/gallery/2433230?offset=1656#/d1s6erz
I think panel 2 or 4 of 4.4 would be great.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.4.4
Everything else is lacking in the visuals compared to the text.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI agree :)
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!4.4 is brilliant.
Here's 4.4 at 350 px...I saved it as a JPG, that may have hurt the text too much.
EDIT: Tried it as a PNG (the second one), that didn't help much.

It would be nice to include the image where Marten facepalms. I think it's ok if you can't quite read what mom is saying as long as his embarassment is clear.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Pretty good. I can actually read all the text easily.
Good one, despite the text
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAs in quality/font, or as in rewriting?
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. No, as in "I personally don't like images where you have to read Speech Bubbles"
But it's a minuscule issue here, so we can roll with that
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat's pretty good, but there's something about that last sentence that's bugging me.
"-a baby"? That could go into the caption
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI was kind of stuck about how to do that bit. Would "and" work better than "as"? I don't think I'm able to fit "baby" in.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Could you just use the text from the original bubble, but in a slightly bigger point size? The bubble looks like there's enough space to work with...
Also, TBH, the facepalm is good but the expression in the original panel seems to fit her comment better.

Bumping since we were kinda on a roll.
I just need to resize and upload the latest version, but it's suppertime. Back soon.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Nominations for replacement images:
Found one I think might work. Only problem is that its a bit on the text-heavy side. How do the last two or three panels of this Misfile strip look?
