I think it might be fun to play through the Prothean's fall to the Reapers. Make the last bit Failure Is the Only Option where you fight enemies until you die.
Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexI believe Vigil states it has no idea what happened to the scientists.
Jonah Falcon@Badwolf: So basically Halo Reach with Protheans?
Could be cool.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Except without retconning everything we know about the Protheans and I'd be happy.
Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexYou know, everyone has been going on and on about the Omega DLC and has completely ignored the even bigger news.
http://whatculture.com/gaming/bioware-announces-mass-effect-4.php
You would think the announcement of Mass Effect 4 would cause bigger wake. What do you think it will be about?
In other news, grass is green, water is wet, the sky is blue, and dogs bark.
We'll have more updates at eleven.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."That article doesn't really confirm Mass Effect 4, it just confirms that Bioware is still going to make games in this universe. We knew that already. They already said that there would be no Mass Effect games set after the ending, and that Mass Effect 3 is chronologically the last game of the series.
Some of the grass in my backyard is brownish-yellow*, the sky looks black right now, and my dogs never bark. They do howl a lot.

...Should we make a thread?
No, because that article confirmed absolutely nothing we don't already know.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Huh, funny, Mass Effect 4 was most voted thing on Final Hour.(least voted were rts and fps and prequel also got some votes)
The last SP-DLC will include a new Refusal-Ending that ends in victory over the Reapers

As long as that ending reflect the large cost of doing so then that'd be cool. Ideally the Crucible would've been an Instant-Win Condition against the Reapers, but one that's not absolutely required to defeat them.

#IceBearForPresidentWell I would say Vitory!Refusal should equal Bad!Destroy in terms of casualties and require ~ 10k EMS ( Assuming that every SP-DLC adds Assests worth ~ 500)
You barely beat them and have just enough civilists to repopulate, but EDI + Geths are still around and the portals aren't damaged. The rest of the reaper forces are nuked from the orbit and the survivors hang around Surkesh, Ranoch/Migrant fleet.

An ending where you do beat the Reapers through brute strength should require the absolute maximum in war assets (without multiplayer, I suppose) — for example, getting it would mean you absolutely need to kill Wrex on Virmire so that you can con Wreav and get both Krogan and Salarian support from the Tuchanka arc, and you need to make peace between the Geth and Quarians.
Also, Mass Effect 4 will be shit, and it's a shame 3 will be the chronologically last game in the series. I'd much rather have four games take place over a thousand years than have ten games take place over thirty years, and if humans aren't going to be around, then the game simply isn't worth my time.
Also, I wish there was a sequence where Surkesh is attacked and those damned space elf salarians died screaming.

"For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die."next thing you know, zephyr's going to start calling the volus elfy because they're better at money than humans.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twittergiven that 3100 results in the best ending, having thrice as much resulting in a close victory isn't even unplausible
edit: Agreed and I hope we see Dalatrass "Bitch Bitchelton" Linron die a horrorbile dead

If there was New Refusal ending, could it be like best destroy ending(with Shepard alive), except synthetics aren't destroyed and that there are more (maybe nameless red shirt, maybe named characters) casualties?
Also, if there was new refusal ending, it would probably have to do something that is given in one of dlc plus war assets. Dunno what, going to Ilos and using conduit to skip earth?

http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/War_Assets/Crucible the text for the Interferometric Array states that it can directly target the reapers, so why isn't the Destroy blast context sensitive ?
Because having a Golden Ending that doesn't involve space magic and being turned into husk people is too much to ask for, apparently
I dunno. If there was a Refusal ending that required sacrificing billions of sentient organics and leaving Reapers alive around Rannoch and Sur'Kesh, I'd still choose Destroy.
@Zephyr: Your use of the term space elf is getting a little ridiculous.

...Sorry for the double post, but oh my god, the volus are playable in multiplayer. Seriously.

...My mind simply won't let me accept that. At least not until we get video of it. Maybe even then. I just can't accept it, somehow.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. At least they are squishy-support characters...
Jaf: Might be hard to make that an interesting game. That could make a good novel or comic though.
